I'm in Elgin. The network actually has really been bad these last few days. Does the new backhaul also improve sms and calls? Right now I can't hold a call unless I'm still and sms come in multiple times.

Here's some speed tests from my og epic. Pings are the best I've seen here. Speed is inconsistent.

Oh, and texts are coming in delayed and some are repeating.

Qbking77 reports LTE in Elgin, IL

I work close to the location to where he got LTE to connect. I've run some speed tests and haven't noticed any backhaul improvements. What I have noticed is the speed has been really unreliable last week. So something is going on.

That will be deciding factor in the Apple/Google war.

Taking 3% or more off the top in monetary transactions is the key to mobile. That's what I see as the key to the battle, when Apple added Passport in ios 6. No need to carry any credit cards just use your phone! That's the battle that google needs to fight! Fix google wallet!

 

And about the time the first contract buyers of the OG Epic are starting to come off contract.

We need these speeds so that Google Instant will show our search results before we even know what we wanted to search for. No longer will it be information when you want it. It will now be information before you need it.

Maps say no upgrades complete yet. So maybe they are still working on it. I guess I gotta be patient.

We had quiet a few issues on the west side of Elgin, IL. From 3G signal not seeing that strong to calls dropping. I suspected Sprint was upgrading cell towers but i've had no way to confirm. Is there any way to confirm without special equipment?
