  1. I have no idea if they are reasonable for LTE, my main point was, on average, friends and workers were getting 12, 15, 18 download from home and various spots in the metro and I was averaging 2 to 3, which is a big difference. Yes, I use WiFi at home, it would be foolish and a network hog to use carrier data if I don't have to. Maybe speeds will get even faster with the newest new network LTE Plus.

  2. I think there was a rooftop tower at College and Quivira and the spectrum included my home. About 18 months ago my speed dropped or no access. After research that tower ID was associated at a different address, closer to 119th and Quivira. I thought maybe a new tower would b installed on top of new hospital after construction but no. The tower at 103 and 69, 95th and Quivira are not in range

  3. I love how the Playbook is the least secure Sprint document ever.

This was, by the way, about the only important thing in this week's playbook :P

Well, that, and, a recap that the iPhone 4 8 GB is relaunching. But I'm sure everyone everywhere who cared already knew that.

And I think there will be less and less "sensitive" information in the Playbook. If it is an NDA project or private it will not be added. Sprint is very aware it is not a secure document.

  4. The truth is even Sprint does not know. And 100% complete is not as important as 100% coverage. At this point, total coverage in the KC area is probably not until Spring. But it will get better and better every week until then.

You are right, I should have said coverage. It's so frustrating being in an area that is just out of coverage and everything around me is covered. I guess I need patience LOL I get LTE at home off and on but it's just not reliable yet and the signal strength is usually above 114 dBM and the speeds when connected are certainly better than WiMax but not what they will be when my tower NV enabled. Thanks again. Happy Thanksgiving.

  5. Here is a Sprint 4G LTE coverage map of the live sites as of April 20, 2012 in the Sprint DFW Market. Darker green does not denote stronger coverage, only doubled up coverage.

S4GRU Sponsors can use an interactive version of this map to zoom in and pan around by following this link: http://s4gru.com/ind...dallasft-worth/

The tower on Hampton near the Tom Thumb and Country Burger had NV turned on a few days ago. A friend of mine who lives on Marvin Ave is getting download speeds of about 9 Mbps download and 8 Mbps upload.

  6. I have some random questions regarding an Airave:

When you are connected to an Airave, exactly what goes through the WIFI connection? Voice or data or both? If the data goes through the WIFI, why doesnt it reach the maximum speeds possible in 3g which I believe is around 3mbps? I just did a speedtest while connected to my airave and got 1.74 down (i got a 25mb connection at home).

Thanks....(just would like to know how the Airave works)

  7. Why will ting phones work on the airave but virgin mobile doesn't.

While Sprint owns VM as well as Boost they are basically considered MVNO within Sprint. They are on the same network but are pre-paid services, use a completely different billing and customer support system, and are not visible in Sprint's database used by care agents. They are a part of Sprint but not Sprint so that's why.
  8. Depends on the phone etc. You can get

from the play store. That's what I use on the EVO, on the Note 2 there is a built in snapshot in Jellybean used with a plam swipe.

Thanks, before the last update I could hit the power button and any menu key at the same time very lightly and if pressed just right it would take a print. I heard that worked for all android devices but that features stopped working. I will check the app store, thanks
  9. I think Sprint is testing a NV tower near my house in Overland Park (near 106th & Quivira behind the hospital). I have been getting LTE on my phone and each day it seems to be getting faster and more stable, although yesterday there was no signal. This moring my signal strength was also at its lowest dBM at -103 (the lower the number the better LTE signal) and per speedtest i received 5.60 Mbps download and 4.35 upload. I do have a question, can I capture a screenprint of my Speedtest results? Using the HC EVO LTE phone. Also, can I tell which specific tower I am getting the LTE signal? Thx

  10. The Sprint site at the southeast corner of the I-35/I-435 interchange has had active LTE for months. Signal from that site is usable until at least the I-435/US-69 interchange.

I have not had any LTE signal until a week or so ago I am right in the middle of two towers who have been upraded to NV, one at 103rh and 69 Hwy and the other on Renner. I am out of spectrum coverage for both of those by two blocks. The tower closes to me (College and Quivira) has not been upgraded to NV but hopefully soon. I'll see if I am pulling off the tower at I-35/I-435 but I doubt it.

  11. Here is the sprint coverage map and roughly drew over where I have got lte around Hutch.

that map is for all purposes useless until LTE is fully deployed in a market. It shows a wide area and is not specific enough down to the spectrum each tower supports. It's good for voice and general information but not LTE. I think Sprint has 48% of their towers convertd to NV but they are making rapid progress.
