3xCA is apparently enabled now:

How's it looking, Robert?

3xCA in the May update?

You should be getting 2xCA, though. Are those speeds on band 41? Kinda slow for LTE Plus but perfectly usable. CA is on the downlink only, btw, so you're not going to get higher upload speeds with 3xCA.I'm generally out and about a lot during the day for multiple hours and it would be nice to have 3x aggregation speeds especially after being with Sprint for over 10 years but I'm sadly considering switching solely due to this not working on their Network with the Pixel XL. I think it's Sprint upload speeds I hate the most. Some how depending on the area I manage to get .15 mbps - 3 mbps upload. Download speeds are on average 5mbps- 9mbps. I have an old unlimited plan as I do receive/send a lot of emails and data. I've been googling the issue but I haven't found many talking about the it and figured maybe a lot of people who have this phone don't have Sprint.

Cool! How about making the unlocked variant an option as well?

Until SCP finds a way to detect CA status, one way is to get out an old phone that can only do 2xCA (like Nexus 6) and set it next to your 3xCA phone (like Pixel XL) and run side by side speed test. If 3x CA is indeed enabled, then you should see roughly 50% higher speeds. If speeds are the same, then 3xCA is probably not enabled either on the tower or your phone.
Nexus 6 does not support 2xCA.

² also doesn't mean 2xCA. They mean second and third carriers - but it's not indicative that you're actually connected to multiple.Oh? Seemed like it would, given that it showed up exactly as it would with 2x CA. Given that I looked at the FAQ and help section and didn't see what it would mean, what exactly does it mean then?

³ does not mean 3xCANot like I ran a speed test or anything, but I saw 3x band 41 in Signalcheck while I was driving around seeing if my signal would drop. Strange that you could see it, but not take advantage.

I noticed it most while on a fast-moving train, and moving through NYC -- both situations where I would expect frequent handoffs. I haven't seen it nearly as much when I'm stable.
Thanks for the data point.
Sure thing. It was actually a weird time for it. I was just in my living room, dropped B41 completely, and then picked up B25. It switched back to B41 without first dropping connection.

Saw it happen yesterday but that was actually the first time I noticed it in the six weeks I've had the device.Has anyone noticed their device dropping from a perfect LTE signal to no signal, momentarily, then returning to full signal? This has occurred for me since I got the device (regular Pixel). This happens many times a day during active usage in multiple major markets.
Not sure if it's just a software bug, maybe related to this one, which will be patched soon, a Sprint network problem, a tower hand-off issue, a SIM card problem, or a device problem. If the last of those, I want to RMA quickly.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Not me, and yes.Anyone here get RCS enabled on their account yet? Is there a server side switch in addition to needing the latest version of Google Messenger?

Next question is whether FB Messenger supports RCS too?
Maybe after Release 2 of the Universal Profile, after the APIs are available? My hope is for that to be the case and see RCS support in Textra. Just not enough features in Messenger comparatively speaking, although RCS is YUGE.

I find it funny they're on the BYOD page as "Google Pixel Sail" and "Google Pixel XL Marlin" haha. How does that not get caught by some form of QA?
-
Well that's the right one...I am also being told that the SIM Card I have (it is the same model for the Nexus 6P) can't be used.

Website accepted the MEID from my email and recognized it as the correct device, color, and capacity, but I haven't done the activation because it's at home and I'm at work. :|Has anyone been able to activate yet? The website is not accepting my MEID. A clueless chat assistant is telling me I cannot activate it on Sprint.

I ordered one and just won't be activating service. I'm sure it's frowned upon, but you're not charged for service until you activate, which I won't actually be doing.Wouldn't I have to subscribe to google fi?
