1. After 12 year finally decided to leave sprint 2 weeks ago. The constant call drop. MMS and SMS not being sent out was the final draw. Switched over 3 lines to AT&T. The difference is like night and day. My iPhone5S finally stays on LTE mostly everywhere in Miami. The few times I'm on 4G even that is fast. Sending SMS and MMS is a breeze. Can finally talk/data at the same time. I get better battery life as with sprint I was constantly switching from 3G to LTE and that drains battery. GSM phones have much better resale value too. With my monthly discount only paying $20 more a month over sprint. It was nice knowing this forum. Learned a lot and met great people. I will still read around and what not. Good luck to everyone.

  2. Regardless it seems everywhere I go now I'm finding LTE on my iPhone 5. In Kendall is constant now. My office area 37 ave NW 50th st is all constant LTE. My drive home on 836/826 turnpike to Kendall is all constant LTE. The market has gotten better. Can't complain. When the new iPhone drops...hence 5S...I have a decision to make. Don't know if I'm gonna stay put with sprint. Depending on how the market is then we will see.

  3. Now it has. In the Miami market there were only 5 towers. In the actual Miami area I only recognize a new one at the hammocks, which Im sure you already knew was live. The other 4 must of been in Broward/West Palm...

Yup that's why hammocks (Kendall) has LTE all over the place...mostly west Kendall.

  4. All I can say is I am glad I did not switch carriers, LTE is coming alive all over the place and at home in West Kendall near the Hammocks its been great for a week!

I live in Kendall too. This whole week I've been getting LTE pretty much all of west Kendall.

  5.

Maybe a site closer to you went live, that's the more likely scenario. It's possible the site you speak of wasn't actually active, and now it is.

As for WiFi, what can you do with 30Mbps that you can't do with 20Mbps? If your WiFi is that good, I would stick with that if you are at home. Better for your phone, and the network.

Yeah I know I agree. Just excited and glad finally good sprint data network... LTE is finally here :) ill be nice and stay on wifi at home and my business office :)

  6. Wow LTE speeds improved here inside my place where I live. I ran speedtest like 10 times and I'm averaging these speeds. I'm very close to the tower on SW 128th st and turnpike. LTE is now constant here. Might prefer to stay connected to LTE instead of my 20mbps wifi speeds lol. Maybe this site finally went full blown <img src='http://s4gru.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />post-5951-13553504689642_thumb.jpg

Sent from iPhone5 via Tapatalk

  7. The cell site off of 117 ave, and 168 st next to Handy Storage was upgraded about week ago. All of the new NV panels are up, new cabints are installed at the base but still not broadcasting. Looks like OEM is waiting for Sprint to give the green light.

Once on this entire part of town will have really good LTE coverage. The site on SW 128th next to turnpike is indeed on and when this one goes live I can imagine things will get much much better here
  8. @SJperformance:

Very glad to know you are noticing increased LTE footprint. Certainly a welcome change from the previous 2 to 3 weeks of almost non-existent activity in terms of sensorly and towers added to weekly update in the Miami area.

Tomorrow I got my topology final, the last one, and so I will be able to stop being a hermit studying non-stop and see the increased LTE footprint, specially in Hialeah which I frequent very much as I have family there.

Also, I'm glad (in a wicked sort of way) that you are encountering extremely slow speeds (as in worse than 3G!) while connected to 4G and with a good signal (3 bars in your case). Up to now I have been the only one reporting such occurrences.

I've noticed in most area I'm getting LTE speeds are great but as soon as I use the browser/facebook/instagram things just take too long to work. Once I turn off LTE and fallback on 3G things work normal. I'm not complaining yet as I know we are in pre launch stage. My contracts with Sprint are over in June 2013 so I have till June to decided and see how well Sprints LTE will work. I'm considering switching to Verizon. This all depends on how well sprints LTE will be by then and I don't want to give up my unlimited data. Overall I'm glad that in most areas I'm in at work and home I get some LTE. I can imagine things will get even better once deployed. Again I'm not ranting yet LoL
  9. Ok so now in picking up LTE everywhere in Kendall breeze. Right now I'm in hammocks Kendall and there's LTE here. Wow there's a lot of LTE in Kendall. I have an iPhone 5 so I can't map on sensorly but believe me Kendall has tons of LTE now. Ever since I left my house I've been connected to LTE.

Picked this up next to Tamiami airport. Look at these speeds. Wow! post-5951-13551977029341_thumb.jpgpost-5951-13551977123239_thumb.jpg

  10. Ok LTE is staying on more often now. I'm switching to 3G and LTE constantly. Even with 2 bars the speeds are greater than 3G LOL. Based on my findings I truly believe that site on sw 128st and turnpike is active. post-5951-13551930813916_thumb.jpgpost-5951-13551930951055_thumb.jpg

Still prefer my Comcast wifi at home as I get 20mbps on my plan. LTE comes and goes. Noticing battery drainage because of this. Glad LTE is present her e now.

  11. Ok so finally picked up LTE inside my complex. When I walk the dog around the neighborhood I have no luck. Now inside my house/2n floor inside my master bedroom picked up 1-2 bars. Did that last night and tonight a lil while ago. Both times I tried to perform a speedtest but LTE went out to 3G. I have a feeling that tower on SW 128th ST and turnpike is indeed on. What sucks is that I'm practically behind it and can't get good LTE coverage. I hope this changes soon.

  12. Correct, the tower is next to the train tracks on the southeast side of sw 157 ave and sw 136 st. I live inside Corsica estate and I'm getting an average of 2 bars with the speeds mentioned previously. I am so happy to finally have LTE and actually use my iPhone 5's Internet other than on wifi. I actually turned off wifi on my phone while I'm at my house just for sh** and giggles.

I know the place. As soon as I go inside my place in Kendall breeze on sw 120th st I lose LTE. I think the tower on 128 st and turnpike hasn't gone live yet.

  13. MetroPCS flat out sucks here in Miami. We got rid of metro service 4 months ago in our company. We thought we where saving money by having no contracts, but their service and customer service sucked. We now have Verizon service on those 5 lines. Very satisfied and LTE is plentiful here in Miami. I was thinking that if by June 2013 sprint LTE isn't broadly available here I'll be taking my wife's line and mine to Verizon. Only reason why I've stayed with sprint so long is because of unlimited data.

  14.

Oh ok, thanks, man. Seems I should have activated the LTE on my phone a long time ago! And that is a nice, big chunk! Too bad it doesn't include the actual Sprint store on 136...

Download sensorly app to keep track of LTE areas in Miami and USA. I'm within 1-2 blocks away from sw 120st on turnpike (I live inside Kendall breeze) there's reported LTE there and I pick it up everyday on my iPhone 5. As soon as I turn into my complex it goes away...soooo close LOL
