I just hope the sprint leadership goes away and is replaced by T-Mobile's. Tmobile has better advertising, stores, customer support, better plan to attract customers, speed in major cities, etc. This latest problem with sprint sims has me peeved that they want to lose customers by not providing sims.
FWIW, I personally, have not had a single bad Sprint customer service experience in my 6+ years of being a customer. I had some good experiences with T-Mobile in store, but bad ones on the phone.

The LG V510 is rumored to be an 8" Nexus tablet based of the G Pad 8.3. It's expected to have the same 1920 x 1200 resolution as the Nexus 7 (2013), but stretched to 8". Probably quad core CPU and 2GB of RAM too.
I don't really see much that makes this compelling over the Nexus 7.

I think this will be the end of AT&T carrier exclusivity of Lumia phones. Nokia needed the short term cash that AT&T gave for exclusive phones, but Microsoft's goals are more towards increased market share. I don't know that I would buy a Lumia, but the option would be nice without being forced to use AT&T.

Wish it had a nicer screen. 1024x600 is lower than most phones these days

LG Mach LS860

Right, I gathered that from one of Robert's posts. He also mentioned buggy
Unfortunately, the current options for phones with keyboards are pretty limited

Err, thanks, I guess that tells me a little bit
Kind of thinking of picking up one of these or a Photon Q. I like how compact this phone is compared to the Photon Q, but functionality is more important than form for me.

Anyone actually have one of these? I'm curious about the reception strength and call quality.

Well done, people! Lots of tech sites are referring to s4gru

Softbank caps Sprint's Clearwire bid; investors want more
http://uk.reuters.co...E8BD03920121214
Softbank is preventing Sprint from bidding more than $2.97 per share.
I don't see any urgency for Sprint to pick up Clearwire. Clearwire is burning through cash so quickly it doesn't have enough to last all the way through 2013. At that point Clearwire's stockholders will be forced to choose between declaring bankruptcy and walk away with next to nothing or taking what it can get from Sprint. I don't see any other suitors coming.

I'd love to see a CDMA/LTE Nexus 4 next year!
As opposed to the Optimus G? Is that because it's a Nexus device?

I wondered ... if we can we put a T-Mobile uSim that is using the $30 5GB pre-paid plan into a Nexus7-3G?
This should have been posted in the Nexus 7 forum, don't you think? Anyway, the consensus answer from XDA developers seems to be no.

Did you guys know that the stopped calling it the Epic 4g Touch? It is now just the Galaxy s2
Maybe they finally recognize that the Galaxy brand has more recognition than the Epic brand.

Well, this rumor turned out to be completely false. Pricing on the Windows RT Surface starts at $499. That definitely takes it off my shopping list.

The rumor is that HTC's rumored One X 5 "phablet" (hate that term) will become the next Google Nexus device under the name Nexus 5.
Highlights:
Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset
1080p display (I really don't believe that)
12MP main camera
2MP front-facing camera
64GB internal storage
2,500mAh
LTE connectivity

The Nexus line also has some limitations like no MicroSD slot, which is a blocker for me. The great thing about Android is that there are choices.

3G version of the Nexus 7 expected in weeks. Probably not compatible with Sprint's network.

Looks like the stars are aligning on this. Sprint, post Network Vision, could host DishNetwork's LTE similar to their previous agreement with LightSquared.
Chief executive Joe Clayton has said Dish would consider working with partners such as Clearwire Corp, T-Mobile USA, Sprint Nextel Corp, MetroPCS Communications Inc and Leap Wireless International Inc.

This rumor is difficult to believe, but, if true, would create a market for the Surface tablet almost like the TouchPad firesale.

This is almost the perfect device for me, except I am hesitant to get any android phone without a replaceable battery. I've had a number of times when I didn't notice the battery was depleting quickly until it was almost gone, but was saved by swapping to a fresh battery. Without being able to switch batteries, I would have been stuck.

More good news for Sprint. I guess FEMA was using Nextel's iDEN and now they'll upgrade to SDC.

Although the PCS band would help Sprint, I don't see Leap selling off PCS assets except in liquidation.
The only acquisition I'd really like to see Sprint pursue is Clearwire.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Anyone have any info on any upcoming Sprint tablets?

I agree. The 1024x600 resolution on the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is so disappointing.
