I see the airport has been updated. Orlando's also.

Except St Augustine unless it changed over the past 3 months.I went out to Huguenot Park (Beach) my LTE signal was rock solid. Never dropped down to 3G on the ride there. Sprint has really improved the Jacksonville market. I feel Sprint can go toe to toe with any carrier in this market. The speeds may not be super high but its reliable and performs all tasks that I need daily.

Is battery life a little better with this update?

There is a new tower in Ybor that is a couple months old that helped. All the other places I agree. I am so tempted by the devil to switch to Att or Verizon where the price would be equal because of my wife's 20% discount.OK so I finally jumped to a multi-band N6. Was, hoping this is going to fix my woes. So far my speeds have increased in my usual spots but nothing to brag home about, Sable Park getting just over 1Mb/sec during prime buisness hours. (early morning is blistering up to 13Mb/sec but my old Note II would do the same) Home in the Trinity area, it is still as dreadful as always. no service at all inside my home without my Airave, which has to be rebooted almost daily. but most of the Trinity area you are lucky to get 250K if anything at all. Ybor, still dreadful, and IP still dreadful. (Seems the Airport tower has been under construction for 3 years now)
I am giving it another couple months and then, if still no improvement in where I go the most then, I am going to move to Tmo, I believe. pending an invite for Google fi of course. Because there are some rural areas I visit ocassionally where Sprint works great but TMo doesn't even have voice signal. Ocala State Park and Mayaka are 2 examples. Google fi would fix that in that it hits Sprint and Tmo networks simultaeously.
I think it is great that some of you guys are getting 35Mb/sec in some locations, and I know I get really great speeds near USF and in Holiday. but I would rather get a consistent 5Mb/sec everywhere than rediculous speeds in a few spots and mediocre speeds in most others.

Are the issues with other carriers RF like Verizon?

I was excited until the RF specs came out.

Hand offs between towers has been horrible the past week. I don't know if it has to do with the 8t8r activations or what. I drop to 3G several times a day now and unable to call out several times. I think the hand if from a 8t8r to Clear is not optimized or ehrpd is not enabled correctly. Idk.

I would love to see old cell coverage maps.

The range of Sprint B41 vs the old Clear B41 is much better, even with power not turned up all the way.
-
B41 now in New Tampa and around Plant City...areas where there was never Clear/Wimax before.

Lakeland airport.B25 has been there a while no? I've gotten b25 and b26 i
At the airport when I'm there for roof repairs, but no b41.

I got the update this morning but haven't installed yet...

Just at the Magic Game. No Das and bad wifi. 3G most if the time but hardly any data. There is B41 I noticed though now near the Disney/ 192 exit and in Lakeland in areas.
-
So just in Florida? Any more details?Software update are being implemented on all frequencies, all bands, all technologies, and affects every vendor so expect some service disruptions while they work out the kinks.

Still slow. Very high ping times.

Anyone having data problems? Unless I'm being throttled for some reason which I shouldn't be, data has been down at several towers even though I have a signal.
-
I found my first 8t8r in a "non wimax/Clear" former area on SR 39 in Plant City.

I just did it again and chose option one. I won't be out of native area for a while to see if it work though. Off topic how do you like the Note 4 compared to the S4T? Rf wise how does it compare? When I had the 720T, I had to load the refresh customization app to get roaming to work last summer when we went to Western NC. My wife has that phone now but she hasn't been out of native coverage since she started using it a few months ago.

For those left with this device or had it, anyone have trouble roaming? My wife and I both have the S4T and traveled to Tennessee and once we left native Sprint we had no signal. It would not roam at all even though all the settings were in place to roam. I remember the old coverage maps on Sprint stated that when I put this spicific deceive it would not show roaming coverage in certain areas. They recently changed the coverage maps and show the same area ( North Georgia and Western N Carolina ) as areas where roaming is available. Anyone else have trouble roaming?
***I did download the refresh customization app to try and fix it.

It's ok, I was just wondering if there on non former Clear sites. The 8t8r I've seen are all on former Clear / Wimax sites. 1 on Busch Blvd, another on Dale Mabry. There is one on US 301 near the junkyard never had any Clear equipment that has 8t8rJust outside of the Panther Trace subdivision near Rhodine Rd. in Riverview. If you want, next time I ride my bicycle near there, I will snap a pic.

You can only upgrade every two years though.
-
I wish they would focus also on rural coverage expansion outside Sprint's native footprint.

I am just wondering why here its saying that the tower downtown in Saint Augustine was accepted months ago when there is no NV equipment on it or at least when I was there a month ago. Also on sprint.com its not showing any upgrades whatsoever on that particular tower.Looking at the permits, there's been quite a few 2.5 permits posted in St Augustine. Should improve soon.

Anyone notice that network.sprint.com is no longer up? You can't see upgrades any more on the Sprint site.
