  1. If those speed tests are accurate, then they necessarily point to 20 MHz FDD.

    AJ

I dunno how accurate the test are according to the speed test app.

But I can really tell the difference in the way my phone reacts say when I open and play netflix, showbox, etc. Buffering/loading doesn't even last 2 seconds.

    BTW, earlier today

  2. Just wait until the network loads up. We have seen this with Verizon, in the beginning speeds that were insane at the time and now it's like B25 at times.

For the last 2 to 3 years the speeds have constantly gone up not down from when lte first went live started at about 20 MBs. Heck, even if the speeds were cut in half later on I still be really stoked.

  3. I believe 15x15 I don't have the service menu to tell me what I am connected to. All I know is that most places here ave over 90-100MB+ . It's just at my home on the east rural end of the island I Ave in the 130's MB now for the last 2 months the or so

  4. Its like that in a lot of places. Tmobile used 10x10 for most of its AWS spectrum and some markets have since gotten 15x15 or 20x20 I believe. Sprint used only 5x5 for SMR and G Block bands. Haven't looked into what theyre using for their 2.5GHz.

But like I said, Spark can theoretically reach into the gbps. If it gets that fast, who knows. Sprint also owns a lot of LTE spectrum. Whether they use it or not, who knows.

What is the current setup now on Oahu?

    5x5mhz

  5. Spark theoretically can reach speeds into the gbps when optimized. Current markets with Spark have real world speeds of 80+mbps right now. However with Spark being on 2.5ghz, building penetration won't be strong.

T-mobile speed in my house. In Hawaii Kai, Honolulu

  6. Unless you're torrenting something, would it even be noticeable? Normal web browsing/youtube/social networking, I can't tell the difference between regulat Sprint LTE and any other network.

My question was directed at the statement of Sprint will blow away the competitors. I am assuming he meant speed of download? Because as far as coverage is concerned? At&t and Verizon has the edge here on Oahu in that regard.
  7. per sponsor access to schedules, Band 41 is rather 90-180 days out. All the hard work has been completed for Network Vision 1.0 which is Band 25. Band 41 will blow away the competitors.

    In terms of speed?

T-mobile in town especially in Waikiki averages about 60-70+MB download 15-20MB upload

My Co workers on Sprint will be happy with Spark if it tops T-mobile speeds

  8. Aloha Twospirits! Long time no see! (phandroid)

It is almost August? Any new information regarding Oahu?

Small world - Anyway.....Keep hearing that towers are getting updated - but my service is getting worse and worse.

Wife is Frustrated.....and we all know what that means!

I was able to briefly get lte in Waikoloa - but signal was in and out.
