  1. Was on my way home and checking my signal as I pass the tower before my house and LTE popped up on the screen.  So finally it is back on the east side of cruces.  Haven't gone out to see if the other towers are transmitting but will do that soon.  Band 25.  I was getting 3up/down and 800 ping on sensorly, but 50ping on ookla. Dismal LTE speeds, but WAY better than 0 3g speeds!

  2. I don't know why IBEZ would really make a difference in when lc gets 4g. If this was the case then El Paso would be in the same boat seeing at how it's 4g crosses the border. If it's just an issue with 800 then I could live without it, as we have been doing anyways.

Just seems like people are making excuses for why sprint isn't integrating and updating their network in our state or in places where CL is the main network service provider. Either way, I've been with sprint since 2000 and this is just business as usual. They could care less.

  3. Just noticed the upgraded equipment near Walmart off walnut and Walton in cruces. They only have 4/6 plugs connected so not sure why the 2 center plugs wouldn't have connectors or be connected. Didn't have sub 100 ms pings and data was low and hard to get but that is essentially a very busy tower.

    On a separate note, http://www.engadget.com/2014/03/13/tmobile-lte-expansion/

This might be the reason tmobile is installing fiber.

  4. The LTE is not live anymore on that site, is it? It is showing 3G only in the Sprint database since late summer. I probably need to change it back. It will probably not go live with LTE again until they upgrade the backhaul. It received the beta test copper backhaul, which Sprint rejected.

I have been seeing crews of workers at that tower since yesterday. Looked like the same people that did the 3G upgrade at Wsmr. No vehicle markings and not enough time to stop and ask the 5 w's. Hopefully they were installing the fiber, but not sure since they were climbing the tower. If they had the equipment upgrade already, not sure what they would be doing up there unless they were working for one of the other carriers.

  5. I understand the willingness to move, but NM needs to seriously looking at the number of graduates that are leaving the state. This is starting to become a concern of mine with the ABQ Economic Development Forum. There are not a sufficient number of jobs with skills in the city (or state).

I agree, but I am leaving also for San Francisco/ San Jose. Maybe my wife will actually get a job there since las cruces has plenty skilled workers here so that my wife can't get hired. Did I mention that I got great LTE in that area? I doubt I will see LTE here before I move. Even with the text from sprint.
