  1. That is almost definitely the Google Voice Integration, I have it as well and it's simply a side effect of adding in the Google Voice server to the mix. Granted, if you use any of the features that GV offers, it can be a godsend when you need it.

    EDIT: fixed link

Yep, this happened to me too with Google Voice integration. Good news is, I believe they've been fixing the problem lately, though. Just in the past week my calls have been going straight through with no delay. Other people have confirmed this over on XDA as well.

  2. picking up a couple of Band41 towers around Raleigh with the LG G2 update.  One near Pleasant Valley - Glenwood Ave, Another on NCSU campus - Near Hillsborough St....getting there, finally.

Where around Hillsborough St? Having trouble finding B41 around campus with my Nexus 5 after trying the profile update trick... http://s4gru.com/index.php?/topic/4989-lg-google-nexus-5-users-thread/page-199&do=findComment&comment=276149

  3. Are all people having LTE issues in Band 41 markets? Is it possible your device sees the Band 41 site and not allowing you to connect to Band 25 LTE?

But if B41 was the problem, wouldn't disabling the 41/26 fix the problem? Because I tried and that didn't help. :/
  4. My network is CDMA/LTE

Does yours have LTE AND VOICE connected at the same time?

So yours handsoff to LTE fine, you just don't have voice?

And yeah, same here. Mine just doesn't connect to LTE at all though except for a brief second when the phone restarts, after which it goes back to 3G.

Edit: To clarify: I have 3G/Voice while on the setting LTE/CDMA and can force LTE, but I can't do LTE + Voice while it's forced.

  5. I'm more concerned why its only connected to LTE and no voice connection. When I'm connected to eHRPD I also have a voice connection, doesn't seem to be the same when connected to LTE.

That's always the case if you force through the engineering menu. Happened on my Evo LTE as well. You have to have CDMA enabled to use voice.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but when I first turned on my phone (and the activation failed because I hadn't called Sprint) it gave me some sort of message about the SIM being locked and told me to restart. I just assumed this wasn't a problem if it activated later, but now I'm thinking it had something to do with it.

  6. Can we discuss this?

I've been trying the past several hours to get LTE working... tried almost every combination of band priorities and CDMA/LTE preferences in the phone.

Maybe it has something to do with a messed up APN? Don't see much about Sprint in that menu option...

  7. I just hope they cover the Carter Finley/PNC Arena area very very well. On gameday you can't even come close to doing anything with data, even while tailgating 5 hours before the game starts in the tailgate lots!

I second this. Data is pretty poor near the RBC Center PNC Arena. I'm right next to it every day, so I was hoping the new LTE sites near Duraleigh or Jones Franklin would reach, but unfortunately they didn't. Hopefully more will be turned on soon.

  8. There is a tower right across the street from Rex hospital at Blue Ridge and Macon Pond Road. I suspect that the backhaul is in place there. i have not tested it during the day but at night I usually get over 2 mbps. It also has a history of being a solid wiimax performer if that means anything. Net monitor shows 30 298.

Hmm... I'll have to stop by there next time I'm in the area. WiMax doesn't necessarily mean much, but 2mbps is nice compared to the .2 I've been getting in the rest of Raleigh :)
