David, I know you're super busy with the weather. I am just making sure that you have been getting my tower CSV files. Have you received them and just not enough time in take a look at them? I appreciate your help and efforts to the site!

Sweet! This is a great sign of network improvements that required time and planning which this site has been great at describing so thanks to Robert and the gang! I just can't wait until LTE-A devices get enabled and future deployments! Go Sprint! Sprint did say it would take some patience to see the true network improvements and it is happening!

Sprint is never going to turn it around they say. Sprint is going to be slow forever they say. 2nd city this month that beat T-Mobile in speed on root metrics.
What city is this?

They may have brought a new site online, but there has been Band 41 online around Topeka since December!
I might have to have my Summer of 6&9 moment joy ride through Topeka just to see if we can discover any new developments on the B41 front! Party on!!!!!!!

that is typically due to not being able to put a put towers in thoses areas, rich people don't like to see ugly things like cell towers. Yet they demand good cell service hmmmm
I have been telling this to folks since the beginning of time for cell service. You want stealth no problem but you will probably see stealth like service (e.g. tower inside a church attic as you can only emit so much radio signals) and they wonder why cell phone service is not the best! You can't have your cake and eat it too!

The east side of wichita is atrocious. And when you look and see how spread out the towers are band 41 is going to do very little to help. If your not within a .5 - 1 mile of a tower on Rock or Webb expect poor service. A ticket was filed abt the service in the 13th and Webb area and Sprint claimed a engineer investigated but there wasnt anything that could be done immediately. Still waiting on a call back from executive customer service with more of an explanation. If your close to a tower service is ok, but if youre not close on the east side your phone is nearly worthless.
Here are a few places i know abt the service:
Twin peaks - sprint service is weak
Fox and hound - service sucks
Red robin - service sucks
Cabelas - decent - twr is across the st
Towne east mall - inside sucks
Old chicago by towne east - decent
Whole foods - sucks
Hopefully improvements are coming. sprint has some of the worst service in one of wealthiest areas of the city.
At least you can say that Sprint does not hate poor people!

Yeah not bad but I ran a speed test on my T-Mobile nexus 7 waiting at sonic and got 60 down while my sprint phone had no LTE. So thats what i have to compare it to. I just want them to be able to compete. I have an LG G2.
Trust me Nathanfish86 as it is worth the wait for 8T8R Nokia baseband equipment to deploy in your area. I was seeing only marginal LTE speeds and getting around 5-8 Mbps was considered awesome where I live. Then when they started deploying the 8T8R equipment then I average around 20-30 Mbps downlink on my Nexus 5 and is only getting a Nokia equipment tower that is almost 5 blocks away from me! It will come with due time. There are a lot of factors to achieving those speeds! I went to Omaha last week and it was only LTE B25 where I went and you can feel the constraints but I know Dkoellerwx is working hard (seriously mad props amigo!) on mapping and identifying more LTE 41 8T8R sites and plotting them on the maps!

Hey there! I'm near the K7 & Prairie Star Parkway aka 95th Street and I am not seeing the B41 yet but I have noticed my B25 signal went from full bars to about 50% and sometimes almost no bars. I am getting a 04D GCI off of Signalcheck app. Let me know and I can help you get some readings.

I believe Lollipop doesn't support the Sprint WiFi calling feature set yet but I hope the Nexus line of phones support it sometime in the horizon. I know there's been times I get decent WiFi but not good CDMA or LTE signal and that feature would have come in handy.
-
You can always do a phone that's got WiFi calling in it! I got an inexpensive HTC handset that had WiFi calling and it makes a world of difference especially in a marginal area. This is the best deal with unlimited data from any carrier in my opinion.

There is no other Wireless ISP/terrestrial ISP that will allow you that type of usage for those MRCs. If so then please do let me know!

I moved to South Dakota and out of Sprint service at the end of summer last year.

Well that bites! I sure did like those views of the beautiful mountains and scenery I saw in the pics a while back. I hope you are not freezing too badly up there because it was 1 degree when I drove the car out of the garage.

pretty sure he wont be getting lte anytime soon-with sprint (sadly), as there isnt sprint coverage where he lives.
Now you can't be dashing the poor man's hopes and dreams now! Lol! I was trying to brighten his day out there!
P.S. This is $hIT my Asian Mom would say! Ha ha!

Robert the LTE is creeping closer to your corner of the woods since it launched in Yuma, AZ! Before long you will be telling us of your stories where long long time ago you had this ancient technology called EVDO, ha ha!

This is awesome! Do you know roughly know where you got the band 41 connection? If you're using Windows Vista or higher then you can use the snipping tool (search for it in the search bar underneath the all programs) and yuan take a snippet of what's on your screen and bam! You can then post it here.

I want A LOT more details. Makes me wonder if more negotiations are going on. Like a network hosting deal.
Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
I would say a hosting deal is in the works because DISH just got thwarted on their upcoming 1900 H block deal that analysts were believing DISH was going to be the only suitor after Sprint and T-mo announced they were bailing. As a result, I am guessing DISH just realized the timeline just got shorter to implement their current spectrum portfolio!

Fort Riley has been experiencing significant LTE downtime on Custer Hill for nearly 6 months now (after having blanket LTE coverage for months). Sprint reps have told me many things, including: waiting for 800MHz installation to finish, government forced LTE to be turned off, and area is experiencing no outages or network sluggishness. I've nearly given up on getting LTE back
I am experiencing this in Lawrence area. My folks live in an area that had 4G LTE and bounced on an in progress tower on the KU campus. Then all of a sudden LTE disappeared and I am patiently awaiting for it to come back as well. Right now the whole network regardless of area is a work in progress! Although I do understand and feel your pain!

This happens a lot to me when I'm traveling on 435 between State Line Road and heading west. Where the call quality isn't the best and either I call the buddy back or drop and redial then the audio quality is crystal clear. There's a new dead zone when I head north or south on State Line Road at roughly the 95th & State Line intersection.

I think calls were dropping on the hand off between 800 and 1900 so they shutdown 800 until they can bring it up in large areas.
I would agree as my EVO 4G LTE kept dropping in areas where the 800 was live. Then all of a sudden the drops stopped occuring so I am guessing it is due to what you mentioned. Thanks for the info!

I thought I'd share this interesting additional coverage courtesy of T-mobile LTE Band 2 coverage. I'm in a small town called Osage City, KS and just up until earlier this year did I have only barely any LTE coverage here but had ATT LTE and Verizon for voice coverage.
