  1. Actually, it wouldn't take very many new sites to fill in remaining coverage gaps with native Sprint service in your market (CDMA services). Your iDEN conversions mostly filled in a lot of substantial coverage holes that were west of Bowling Green to the Defiance area. The same is true for us in Cleveland with Ashtabula County going from freeway only coverage to almost continuous coverage just by doing iDEN conversions. :tu:

To add to that LTE 800 not yet active will also further expand coverage

  2. Yep, 1x800 has been firing up like crazy in the Cleveland Market too. It first was found via SCP logs in testing mode on February 18th in testing mode in Downtown Cleveland. It only formally went live in my area (I live 30 miles east of the city) on April 11th.

I will say this too...it does kick some arse in our market there's places were I'd barley get a signal or I'd roam on and now it's atleast 90 or less for dbm range it goes a little lower once and while but it's plenty usable. Can't wait till fire up LTE on it

  3. The first picture is band 25.

I thought I had something under the second picture when I posted that. I might have deleted it on accident when I edited the post with the third picture.

if you look under your engineering screen the upload and download channel should match what my screen does with the numbers which would be 10X10 1900, if the numbers don't match than its likley a 5X5 which has been the normal for the area up until now with joski noticing it and me checking
  4. Are Archbold and Wauseon part of our market? There was a lot of 1x800 there! First time experiencing 1x800... Wow! The range is incredible. I'm sure the power is way up since it's rural, but still.

Yup sure are. I don't think those two have it cleared yet with ibez, but south of there and west there is. I think I found it in Stryker and west Unity . That's rural sites just wait till the city gets it. It'll be amazing for sure on voice and LTE

  5. I thought the HTC One had the antenna and such to receive 800MHz?

    From Phonescoop:

    less detail

    LTE (4G)

    band 25 / 1900 MHz PCS+G (USA (Sprint))WCDMA (3G / 4G)

band 1 (I) / 2100 MHz IMT (Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, Brazil, India, Israel)

    band 2 (II) / 1900 MHz PCS (Americas)CDMA (2G / 3G)

    800 MHz / band 27 / BC10 ESMR (Americas (Sprint))

    850 MHz / band 5 / BC0 Cellular (Americas, Oceania, Brazil, Israel)

    1900 MHz / band 2 / BC1 PCS (Americas)GSM (2G)

850 MHz / band 5 Cellular (Americas, Oceania, Brazil, Israel)

900 MHz / band 8 (Europe, Asia, Africa)

1800 MHz / band 3 DCS (Europe, Asia, Africa)

    1900 MHz / band 2 PCS (Americas)

Verizon version supports LTE band 13 instead of 2

Voice on 1X800 it supports , but no LTE 800 (band 26) or 2500 (band 41) hence only single band 1900

  6. I've been doing some digging around for stuff around our area and found this... I don't know how accurate this site is but I found this pretty interesting: http://www.antennasearch.com/sitestart.asp?sourcepagename=antennachecktxreview&getpagename=pgtxdetail&cmdrequest=getpage&ipos=22&isubpos=1&strtxtype=lmcomm&unique_system_identifier=2356015&location_number=1

I know there is a tower here at that location, but I've never gotten a signal from it. I've gotten a signal from the tower southeast of it near where Bancroft intersects the University/Parks Trail. But since it looks like it's licensed to Nextel for a bunch of 800 frequencies, does that mean we could expect LTE/1x800 service from this tower in the future? I don't really have my hopes up and I don't really know what to make of these kind of reports either but any thoughts? Here's a look at the tower on Street View too if that's significant... https://www.google.com/maps/@41.6731647,-83.6693035,3a,15y,353.9h,108.04t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sYEhJhcp1c8cBPgj2zJed4w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

That tower was a Nextel only site. There was never Sprint services running. Now they could make that into a IDEN conversion with 1900, 800 and 2500 in the future. Very possible.

  7. http://www.phonedog.com/2015/09/10/sprint-roll-spark-service-18-new-markets-september-11 they did but they don't have the coverage map up yet for some reason. It's good that they have 2 band 41 carriers helps phones with non CA support and once they put those two together phones with CA able will really see speeds and capacity. 800 can't come soon enough that's right for sure and I don't get the tower there'd fiber ran there as T-Mobile and Verizon and att are both on that tower but still nothing.

  8. why would they even do this? they dont have B41 even launched and there are still many towers without LTE lit in these 3 counties so it seems like a big waste of money.

I'm sure they are working on getting 41 down there. I know that Toledo is much bigger market, but they are already have 2 band 41 carriers all around Toledo. I agree with Rob if they can get I'd take it especially were band 41don't reach and 25 is there with double the capacity and speed much better ::tu::

  10. Did we not at one time have a test signal of 800 voice over a year ago? The site on the west half of Alexis.

Yeah. Idk why they even had it on in the first place unless they were able to use that tower when they were upgrading the equipment to try help cover the area til they got things turned on, but who knows. This was last week out in Van Wert . I was getting -95 to -100 from that point. Sure will be nice when it comes.bd4422886fb2d3cb281624bd1b1fc811.jpg7f03277c564ec22e8edae9a636ce386f.jpg

  11. I had to ask in the Sprint forum:

    https://community.sprint.com/baw/message/987963#!/

Debating now Google Fi...sent the invite request anyway

They don't there head from there arse unfortunately. sorry lol. LTE won't be till prob end of this year or early 2016. Our market is on a stand still from what I'm observing. One LTE acceptance in like 2 months or more and yet there's permits pulled for micro on slot of these sites since end of last year and close after. Unless we get a super duper update :( I feel YA as many others do. We need 800 No ifs and buts about it for sure

  12. So is the tower near Sylvania/Corey ever going to get LTE? It seems to have been forgotten.

I think alot of sites besides GMOs should have backhaul by now. I know Ryan's probably right I go by there alot keeping an eye out but nothing new. Sites out to west had permits pulled back from Dec-Feb for micro backhaul so idk what's the deal maybe our manger for our market got fired ha...well think about this from now-to 8-12 months we should have 800 on voice and LTE ::fingers crossed::
