What's tmobile's long term plan for iwireless?T-Mobile affiliate iWireless is a member of the CCA. Its coverage is represented in the CCA coverage map.
-
Ok they'll sue but unless there's a clause enabling them to break the contract… tough luck.I am fully expecting EBS license holders to sue to get out of renewals if they are not offered more money, somewhere much closer to fair market value. And the leases are highly variable in terms. EBS is a mess. That makes the BRS portion of Band 41 so much more valuable and manageable.

What basis would they use to renege?I would imagine they have renewal clauses. They probably even have the renewal rates in there already too. But the EBS license holders are planning to fight even the renewal terms they have agreed to because the market has materially changed so drastically.

He also said 50k fiber to tower which probably means 50k non-slow backhaul and 10k 2g.First, you can rest assured I am not making any points about Chester here. If it were it would be Verizon, the only game in town.
Secondly, the T-Mobile site density of 60,000 is from T-Mobile's Braxton Carter.
Sprint is at 55,000 post Clearwire, so that's a big reason why I am not saying Sprint is lost. Sprint is at 45,000 active LTE sites per S4GRU numbers so with 8T8R deployment they should be pretty close to the 55,000 number by the end of 2015.
Take another 10,000 macros and you can completely flip the script for Sprint. That's where my confidence comes from.

Someone said alltel wanted to buy sprint but sprint declined to merge or something so sprint had opportunity to merge alsoWhether you like it or not, it is political. Look at the recent history, and tell me that it is not political.
The Republican controlled FCC during 2000-2008 eliminated the spectrum cap and the Cellular 850 MHz license cross ownership rule. Accordingly, it approved the Cingular-AT&TWS merger and the VZW-Alltel merger, both of which resulted in massive CMRS spectrum agglomeration and Cellular 850 MHz monopoly in numerous markets.
The Republican motto is basically, "Let the free market sort it out." But where is the "free market" in this industry, which is an oligopoly and practically a public utility?
So, do not make excuses. Period. Instead, ask questions -- especially of your chosen political persuasion.

Because stations like mine are broadcasting in the affected spectrum. My station in particular just put up most of our antennas in 2011 when we became a Fox affiliate. It would be insanely expensive for us to replace them all right now in order to vacate the spectrum. That's not likely to happen. I'm not sure the 600 auction will ever come to fruition. People want their over-the-air TV, and stations aren't willing to replace equipment that is working perfectly fine.
That's what relocation reimbursement is for and relocation won't be voluntary.

Legere said sprint port ratio is 2.2When you combine pre and post paid, Sprint had a net positive port ratio from T-Mobile as well!
-
That conpletely contradicts what Legere said that sprint port ratio is 2.2Most interesting thing I picked up from his Q&A was that they are net port positive against T-Mo. So for all of Legere's shots, Sprint is taking more customers from T-Mo than giving away. So that's a plus.
-
What does that mean? No company cares for its customers except to make money. All ATT want to do is to keep Cricket spectrum and its CDMA network away from Sprint. ATT doesn't really care about Cricket customers.
-
Then go with verizon prepaid. At&t screwed up cricket by getting rid of all the things that helped us low income people. They no longer have bridge pay and now charge late fees if you can't pay your bill. Not to mention text messaging gets shut off if you can't pay your bill. You used to get texting for an extra month if you couldn't pay. Also at&t doesn't work well in my area. I was having as much trouble making and receiving calls on the at&t network as I am now on t mobile. I went 3 years on the old CDMA cricket service with zero dropped calls and only had to deal with not connecting calls 1% of the time (and old cricket would actually tell you the circuits are busy, at&t gives you dead air). At&t was terrible and I refuse to go back. I'm trying to find a carrier as reliable and cheap as old cricket but doesn't involve the duopoly

Legere tweeting something does not equal marketing.Remember for how for half of a year all he said was "We're gonna pass Sprint by the end of the year." and that tune turned into "We're gonna pass Sprint for sure in 2015." Not to mention, marketing Unlimited like crazy to lure Sprint Unlimited customers.
I think what Sprint did that was smart was embrace unlimited and shared data. Although T-Mobile has tiered data, it would prove annoying/confusing for those coming from the big two in that it isn't actually shared data. At one point T-Mobile advertised 10GB of data for 4 people for $100 or something along those lines but what screwed them over was that each person was limited to 2.5GB a month. Sprint's Double Data promotion is what made Verizon and AT&T customers switch since it was simple, you'll get double the data for the same price.
Since when do only sprint customers like unlimited?

-
The referral was from any carrier not just sprint. For awhile they gave people that switched from Sprint unlimited data for a year. It was some type of referral promotion.
EDIT: Legere really hammers Sprint on Twitter. Anytime Sprint posts an achievement, Legere runs in and stomps on it.

So they're selling the 2.5 ghz? Selling to TMObile would result in least pain for sprint.Id like to see them keep 80mhz. Plenty of headroom for years.
-
I don't see how causeThis cash is the grease for that squeaky wheel, eh?
As of Sept. 30 2014, Sprint’s total cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments were $5.3 billion and its total liquidity position was $8.8 billion.
-
Why? Sprint as more than the credit line in cash.
-
Sprint actually mentions att vz in commercials. What does tmobile say or do that targets sprint vs all 3?Uh, do you understand the words that are coming out of John Legere's mouth?

I'll settle for just making the thing bigger! At least they have dynamic/smooth updating and scrolling. They also changed it in NYC to reflect coverage more accurately. It's great that they're making changes to the maps but it would be better in they just got a whole new map altogether.

AWS is b4 1700/2100Sorry, I meant for T-Mobile US. I thought AWS was 1700/2100, I didn't know of a combo of 1900/2100. Is HSPA+ 42 the only thing that would be lacking on T-Mobile with this device?
There's a b1 2100 but USA doesn't use it
There's no 1900/2100 combo

It's only 1 month rolloverI’d like the congratulate Tmobile for forcing AT&T to introduce rollover data.

How's anaheim, Fullerton? Finally seeing LTE in Irvine near the small Kaiser Permanente on Barranca and E Yale Loop. I finally have usable data while waiting for a Dr. appointment. Wow. This area has improved a lot. Just waiting for the one near work and the one near the district now.

How has tmobile been targeting sprint specifically? Seems they're just doing more of the same tactics while sprint I agree has been targeting att vz.Just because their Sprint porting ratio was high doesn't mean they didn't do well. T-Mobile seemed to be targeting sprint for nearly the whole year whereas Sprint has been targeting Verizon and AT&T mostly since Marcelo Claure became CEO. Then if we look at Verizon's foreshadowing that Q4 wasn't as good as usual for them and AT&T's silence, it can be suspected that Sprint put a bit of a dent in Verizon and AT&T's results. To me, T-Mobile's preliminary Q4 results aren't really different from what they usually do each quarter. It doesn't stand out from their usual trend as being particularly better.
But as I said, good on them for having such a great year of customer additions.

Nice. What about non spark lte?Sprint updated their coverage map and it's now more realistic as far as Spark coverage. For example here in Tampa they took away roughly 60 percent of the Spark coverage shade yellow. It almost matches the WiMAX footprint to a t. I also noticed they did the same thing across the country. So the map would indicate Spark coverage only where band 41 is present.

How did att screw up cricket? They give you a free htc (lte) desire 610 or a free lumia lte 635 when you sign up. That's a damn good deal. Lte up to 8mbps and 3G up to 4mbps is very good considering att tops out at 8mbps already in some marketsI'd go with native sprint if it didn't require a 2 year contract and a $250 deposit. I tried that last year. Zero major carriers would accept my poor credit. An MVNO is my only option right now. Also, if the photon isn't trip band are there any devices sold at Kroger that are? Like the Coolpad arise or whatever Chinese junk that they sell other than the photon q? Its starting to sound like the poor guy making $100-$150 a week at UDF is still s**t out of luck.
Why did at&t have to buy cricket and screw everything up? Ugh
