  1. I got unstable 4G at M&T Bank stadium, but I was so high up it's hard to say which direction it came from.

I also got 4G in one part of Towson University.

It seems to be coming. I was sort of hoping they would flip it over all at once.

I got LTE at last night's Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium. Made me so happy as that's where I used my Wimax mostly last year. I love being able to pull up my Slingbox and watch the instant replay at close-up during the game. (Actually a 10-20 second delay from what's happening on the field.)

My throughput rates weren't stellar (6mbps down/2-3mbps up) but usable for video streaming. Connection did drop as soon as I went inside the building (club level areas). I have no idea where the tower was.

Looks like we're seeing progress here in Baltimore.

  2. Well I drove by one of the new Network vision towers at the edge of Maryland, just north of Manchester, MD and I consistently got between 2 - 2.3 mbps and Pings between 87 and 94ms.

I can't wait for that to go nationwide. Sprint's network is going to be awesome!!!

That's good to hear. I guess I got a little too optimistic with the note on the first post of this thread. It sounded like we were going to start seeing some movement in the Baltimore zone soon but then no one reported anything on the forum, unlike other markets. (I've been checking every other day for reports.)

There's a tower a mile from my house which is scheduled to be a new one. There are two at our family beach place (one overdue and one new). The storms we had end of June did a lot of damage at home so I expected a delay.

3G speeds have gotten poorer this year for me, but I didn't really care since I'm mostly on WiFi. Only hurts when I compare it to the T-Mobile phone I got to play with this summer. I know once Sprint finishes it's network build, it promises to be good. I've been a Sprint customer more-or-less for a decade so I've mostly been happy with what I've gotten.

  3. Glad to hear someone is actually seeing some LTE towers in the Baltimore market. I'm beginning to get frustrated with my Sprint service. The 3G has gotten so crappy in MD over the last year it is downright unusable.

I live within a mile of a tower due to be turned on any day now and am vacationing at the beach within 1-2 miles of two towers due to be switched on. Nada.

I'll stay with Sprint as long as they keep the unlimited data, but they seriously need to up their game.

  4. Ok so it's 11 days after Robert/S4GRU Admin posted this thread with the tantalizing info Baltimore would see its LTE towers turned on in "a week or so". I'm not seeing any improvement/change yet.

Does the interactive map tell you what towers have been turned on? If anything 3G has gotten worse in MD this last year. I used to draw around 700-900kbps, but now I average in the 200-300kbps range (if I'm lucky). My T-Mo play phone is running rings around Sprint. (1.2mbps at the beach vs. Sprint's pathetic 100-200kbps.) It's downright embarrassing.
