  1. Was in Lynbrook on Merrick Rd. today and cought LTE between wendys up until Valley Stream. I know NYCHitman's gonna be happy about that one.

I think I mapped it on Sensorly, I turned it on at least...

Haha. If only I were still on Sprint :(. However, that is great news for all Sprint subscribers in the Lynbrook area. It doesn't look like it was mapped out though.

  2. Somewhere on the forum it was mentioned that NV is 100% financed, so the fact that its taking as long as it is has nothing to do with finance but rather red tape!

Be that as it may, it only raises curiosity on what the actual underlying issue(s) are. Could it be permits? Sub-contractor failures? etc..

  3. I hope so. Bring lots of water and an umbrella. I am sick of hearing from people about how terrible Sprint is and how NV is delayed. Work faster and finish already. At least have a market be 100% complete.

They probably need the remainder of the cash infusion from the merger in order to kick it into high gear.

  4. 3G upgrades is prob the last thing were going to see . LTE is first : 3G is launched in clusters .

I've already started seeing 3G upgrades light up all around parts of Nassau and Suffolk County. LTE will likely build up over time. I don't expect it to be usable until the fall.

  5. I would say for average user, yes...but not the way i abuse my device...lol..I am an extremely heavy user. I would say a more normal user would get another 2-4hrs easily.

I consider myself a normal (or moderate) user and I avg between 15-16 hrs. On days that I don't really use it much at all, it can go 34-36 hrs easy.

  6. So EVERY single cell site that Sprint has is going to upgraded with 3G & 4G is going to be added ? Are they going to build up more towers as well or are they just going to upgrade & leave it at that .

IIRC, no new towers will be built. However, a majority of towers should be upgraded to support NV-standard 3G/4G.

  7. The second LTE site accepted in the Long Island market occurred today. It's in Westbury. It will be on the NV Sites Complete map in the Sponsor section late tonight.

I noticed that. Right on the Northern State Pkwy. I was hoping it would be a little further south closer to Roosevelt Field Mall, but I wasn't that lucky lol.

  8. damm, I'm on a custom Rom.. I'll have to change that and go again.

Custom ROM's are fine as long as the developer did not change the carrier information. This usually happens in ROM ports, etc.. Me thinks you'll be fine on TPR, but you can ask Kenny & Co. if they did make any modifications in the build.prop, etc..

  9. Somebody else mentioned that on the Long island thread, but I think its just bleedover from the Far rock side. Hopefully im wrong.

/wave - that was me! Lol! It has to be separate because I was never in Far Rock. I was over in Atlantic Beach then made my way to the Beach House (bar) in Long Beach.
