I'm still on the d build of 5.1. Does LMY47I fix memory leak. Plus how long does it take for the ota
The fix appears to be in 5.1.1, which isn't up yet for the N6.

It's super easy through sprint chat. For my last couple of devices I've always asked "I need the ##xxxxxx# (xxxxxx being your MSL) code for line [your number]" and they've never hesitated in giving me the info.
This has been my experience, but I'm on an EPRP plan so I don't know if that makes any difference. I've always just stated "LTE debugging" as my reason and they've given it to me with no complaints. Keep calling back until you get someone who will do it for you.
There used to be a way on the N5 to grab it from logcat while opening the 3282 menu. I just tried it on my N6 and it doesn't seem to show up, unfortunately.

Also for those wondering, the M build includes the older radio from D. E is still the newest in that regard.
-
I'm finally getting around to flashing the E build today. Has anyone been running it for a few days? Any significant RF performance changes?
-
I'm still running the same install I sideloaded from 5.0.1 when the OTA was first captured. No problems here.

Sounds like it is the N6 Verizon variant. Some slight changes, but nothing that non Verizon users should use.
Also, how has noone not stated how awesome this update was in reference to sms / mms. I know people said it was fixed, but boy that is an understatement. I was waiting to update due to xposed, but I couldn't stand it. I cannot believe how quickly this phone sends messages now. I know this is standard now w/ LTE, but it is fantastic!
I've got full GV integration, and every once in awhile I'll still send/receive a duplicate text.

Ultimately the network will decide, but when your phone needs to scan (or is nudged with a reset) you are better off in these situations. I often do this with B41, since the network frequently seems reluctant.
Oh, gotcha. The engineering screens also allow you to change the scan interval but I haven't felt the need to mess with that. Handoffs go pretty smoothly as is.

Being able to change LTE band priority is amazing. I bumped b26 up over b25 and now I have an even easier time staying on b26 when indoors. I'd recommend this if you're in an area with good 800MHz coverage and spend a good amount of time indoors.

Looks like a new build of 5.1 has appeared:
According to the article it is probably only going to be present on devices shipped by Verizon, but apparently also includes a new radio. Anyone brave enough to give it a shot?

Ambient display broken? Now when i pick up my device the screen will NOT turn on. the setting is turned on...
After side loading I had the same issue. Untoggling and retoggling seemed to fix it.

Tmo owns some B12 around the country. USCC and many other regionals also own Band 12 spectrum. Band 12 is important for Sprint customers for compatibility with RRPP members and future LTE roaming. It is not important for just T-Mobile.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm certainly not an expert. It'll be interesting to see when exactly Google plans on opening up Nova now that the N6 is ready to go.

So from what I understand, band 12 is 700MHz A-Block and is owned by T-Mobile. According to this site (http://www.tmonews.com/700mhz-lte-map/) there hasn't been b12 deployment here in Columbus just yet, and it looks like there's a spectrum issue just to the west of us as well.
I did enable it just for giggles and there was indeed no signal to be found.

How did you get to the engineering screen? I missed something I guess.
SignalCheck Pro's shortcut menu is probably the fastest way to get there.

Tried that and a few other ideas already. No luck.

The phone does ask for an MSL when making any changes on the engineering screens. Looks like a call to customer care is in order.

Has anyone running stock seen an OTA yet?
-
Is there any compelling reason to have this service at the consumer level? I understand business applications but I'm not quite sure why anyone else would need this.
-
I ordered mine from Sprint the morning orders opened and had trouble activating online. A call to EPRP customer care solved the issue, however.

Whoops. Should have said SMS only sends on data when using the GV app AND the Hangouts app with full GV integration. I haven't switched my texting to Hangouts (don't like it), so I still use the GV app when I need to send a message using WiFi/Data.
Hmm, so using the stock Messenger app eliminates the issue?
-
Only if you use the GV app. If you use a normal texting app, they send as normal, even with GV integration.

I am by no means an expert on the issue, but I have full GV integration and use Hangouts for SMS. When I'm on the spotty wifi network at my workplace sometimes texts will refuse to send unless I kill wifi and hop on the b41 tower outside. I also experience the double text issue very intermittently.

Did anyone that pre ordered this November 14 form Sprint get a credit for the decrease in price.
I spoke with customer care as soon as the price dropped and they said I'd see the credit on my bill after a few billing cycles.

Still nothing, even with the apk in the system folder.

I'm on the old EPRP Everything Plus 500 plan and it shows as a $5/mo addon for me. I wonder why they made the service free for some but not others?
