  1. Evidently, telling the truth about an actual incident is a forum violation. Wow!
  2. my hilton neighbor went to best buy to get $39 prepaid sprint lg tribute lte /spark phone. website shows lte coverage in both village and town. however, when best buy tried to activate phone with her address and zip code, the message came back thst lte is unavailable. so, the website says one thing, but tech support says the exact opposite. no wonder crurn is up so much.
  3. when you want to get federal approval for a merger, the last thing you do is anything to anger the fcc or doj!
  4. but the lte icon does not when you don't get lte.
  5. On lte? That must be a 3g signal. Out here, hilton, i only got 3g even slower than that, despite map saying lte coverage was strong.
  6. I would believe what the techs tell you (only). Until the feds approve the merger, you wonder why not agree to let each others customers roam on both networks for lte? The gsm/cdma difference would not be a problem for lte only roaming.
  7. hilton? Map shows lte but it isn't there. At least as of last month. the merger would give them the antennas on top of the village water tower. Signal would go from no/one bar to 5 or 6!
  8. I had to disconnect sprint dispite wanting to get a new htc phone, for now. Despite the map indicating lte coverage in hilton, all i got was ultra slow 3g all over the village. I plan to recheck later this year.
  9. sprint better move here asap. T-mobile has its lte tower on top of the hilton water tank, already active and blazing fast, both lte and hspa+ over the 1900 band. It will be easy to switch.
  10. Still no lte in hilton. Recent visits to Brockport and Spencerport only showed 3g.
  11. the list i saw showed a dozen or more lte upgrades this month in buffalo, biut only 3 upgrades on 3 g in rochester. At&t did buffalo long before rochester, while verizon did the opposite.
  12. Doubt it. Sat night ping 464, .06 down , .04 up. Not only no lte , but molasses slow 3g. Hilton / north greece still waiting!:(
  13. Sploosh? No hilton lte , and i checked tower map. On westside of county , still a lot more 1 upgrades than 2 upgrades. I guess they sre doing high population , easier to get to sites before outskirts.
  14. Thanks. The other issue in hilton is about the locstion of the tower on burritt road. Tower is to far south, so the hill you go over to enter the village cuts off at least half or more of the signal strength to half the village. I have 6 bars until i go over the hill then only 1 or 2 at my house. Before the voice update to 800 mhz, i had to go to McD's just to call customer service or use the phone for calls. If you can find out the schedule, that would help. I noticed testing of tower near rt . 259 and west ridge a month ago. Thought spencerport had 4 g yet phone kept jumping back and forth between 3/4g. Last night at perri's pizza, only 3 g service was available. It was faster than hilton but towet was right across the street. Had at least 4 or 5 bars.
  15. No lte so far in hilton. In checking the map, i noticed that areas in greece and gates that already had lte showed two data upgrades on the sprint towers listed. So far, the two towers near hilton ( town of parma) only show one upgrade, either voice or data. Nobody seems to know what pattern or schedule is being followed in doing the upgrades.
