Hum. I will be stepping away from sprint however. I cannot take the spotty connection. Been loyal for over 10 years :-(

So my GPS is now acting up. I am going to get a new phone really soon. I love the G2 but I am having trouble with the GPS as others are and it seems flawed hardware... So I am afraid to go with LG again. Last night it could not keep a lock on me and I needed navigation to work... So frustrating. Would you guys recommend the G3 or Samsung Galaxy S5?

That doesn't make sense because I switched to Textra because it supports group messages. Some people use hangouts which works well too. However the stock message App doesn't support group messages correctly.

Isn't there supposed to be group messaging improvement in the update? Can anyone comment on that?

OK. I have signal checker but I didn't buy the pro version yet

I know this is a dumb question, but how can you tell?

I have had issues with my GPS in southern Virginia and in DC from time to time but not really any that have been show stoppers. I have thought about the nexus 5 versus the LG G2 and I keep coming back to the battery life. My G2 easily lasts the whole day.

From what I understand it is a stock messaging issue depending on your carrier. On sprint, the stock messaging app doesn't group messages. I use Textra for that reason. Google hangouts also works. I was hoping the Android update would have fixed that, but it didn't.Has the problem with group messages coming across as single messages been addressed? The solution I saw on the Sprint page was to remove third party messaging apps. Suggestions?

There is a lot of explanation in this forum and in another topic about switching that you need to read to understand why.

I would agree. I have always had that occur with all my Sprint phones.

Does anyone have issues getting notifications from Tapatalk? Mine quit working about a week ago. I am missing out on good info!

Tapatalk servers need updating. I have been working with Tapatalk help because I am not getting notifications from this forum anymore. They suggested that I suggest that your Tapatalk servers are updated.

To be honest with you and I am sure this won't be popular on here but I am getting tired of that wait answer from Sprint. I am really looking at at&t or T-Mobile. I need to understand how it would work to switch. I have been experiencing so many dropped calls too.

Sorry:I think what you are saying will work. Please help me confirm what you mean
1) Let phone run down till it shuts down
2) Fully charge phone
This is where I am a little confused:
"powered down then restarted it and ran it till shutdown again. Restart and charge full again" Can you break down the steps I quoted a little better? Please.
1. Run the battery till phone powers off.
2. Charge till green or 100%
3. Power back up and run till it powers off.
4. Then I starting charging and powered the phone back up. Keep it on the charger till 100% again.
5. That should calibrate your battery.

Exactly, I have had to use that when flashing roms in the past.

I had the same problem and what I did was let it run till it shutdown the phone and then charged till it was fully charged powered down then restarted it and ran it till it shutdown again. Restart and charge it full again. Now it is Back to the way it was before.I used to come home and have 76%-78% and that is from 6:00am when I take it off the charger to 6:00pm when I come home. Since this Spark update, I get home and the battery icon is orange, begging to be charged.
I know the Spark kicked in two more antenna's and now it is tri-band, which is most likely the reason for a HUGH difference in battery length. Is this something that can be corrected with a software update or it is just the world we have to live in since tri-band is now enabled on the phone?

I need some help with an MMS issue. I was able to group text via MMS fine using Hangouts or Textra. Then I took the update and my texts were not getting to me for a while. Then I followed this procedure to reprovision the phone, dial ##72786# and it worked really well. Then yesterday I realized that my group MMS messages were not getting to non-sprint customers. but I tested it to my family on Sprint and that worked just fine. I also tried a picture mail and that didn't make it to a friend on AT&T either. Could someone help me with this issue?

That is what I wanted to let you know by showing you my signal checker at home in Hampton. I don't really know the difference. Is the 800 RTT better?

It looked like you had the street address. That would be nice.

Got it. I will start checking now that I understand. Is signal checker pro worth getting?
