Anyone in Kansas, Oklahoma, or Missouri markets still having issues with LTE from 3G/4G sites?
Yes, one tower that I had issues with seems to be working, but the one closest to my work still won't allow LTE to connect without forcing it. I'm in the Oklahoma City area

I added this link to my signature by the way and Me and David spruced it up a bit.
I appreciate the effort, but I'm in Oklahoma, which you have listed as 'good' but I'm having issues with 3G/4G towers

We don't have a grasp of every scenario, yet. It is possible that your device has a problem. Will it work in LTE only mode? If so, you probably are suffering from the eCSFB/CSFB problem. If not, then you may have a device problem. And are you certain your site has the same legacy/NV equipment?

Sites in the 73034 area code are listed as yellow. Forcing LTE does work on these sites. A purple site near my home connects without forcing after toggling airplane mode or making a call.

It will require a revisit to fire up 3G on these already LTE only enabled sites. Because they will have to fire up equipment and do 911/drive testing. But the good news is all the equipment should already be installed. It's hard to put a time line, because I don't know what kind of resources can be mustered. But I think if made a priority, existing LTE only sites could be NV 3G online nationwide in 60 days.
And also from here on out, they can just make sure any new LTE sites also have 3G upgrades installed and accepted with LTE. It would just likely slow down LTE acceptances as 3G acceptances require more testing/integration.

What about in incumbent markets where it appears that yellow sites are the ones causing issues with connecting?

Nexus 5, Oklahoma City which is incumbent market, no LTE at yellow sites

To reiterate:
Nexus 5
Edmond, OK 73034
Northern Oklahoma City
Sites that are yellow on the map are the ones causing me issues

Never thought seeing so much 4G coverage would make me feel so bad

Just did, but can't find the particular map in reference

Edmond, OK 73034 and much of Oklahoma City metropolitan area. As others say, forcing LTE does work, but causes loss of voice and SMS transmission

I just had a chat with Sprint for my area, they are going to have Network Techs look at my issue.
That's good news. Every time they say "no known issues" I want to say ”that's why I'm letting you know ”

So out of those of us having LTE connectivity issues, has anyone contacted Sprint? What are they saying?
Sent from my Nexus 5
I've been told by chat that there are no known issues with the network, and they couldn't troubleshoot the phone. Then told to go to a Sprint repair store for further assistance.

This Idea was shot down about 40 pages back.
Wasn't this before the Sprint phone was released and fewer people had issues though?

LTE issues thread would be awesome

I'm definitely thinking this is a regional issue now. You're right down the road from me and I have several other reports from RDU guys that their N5 will not connect to LTE.
I have the same issue in Oklahoma City

I just received my Nexus 5 from Sprint and have been unable to connect to LTE at all with it. I believe that I was within range of an active band 41 site, but I'm unable to confirm that...
"LTE" briefly displays over the signal bar, but never connects and switches back to 3G.

Not too rejoice in your misfortune, but that should get Sprint to fix the radio issues quickly

Not in this case.
The hole is very small, paper clips do not fit. I tried at work today.
I used a thumb tack, it works

Possibly, but I don't think Oklahoma City ever had WiMax

Are all people having LTE issues in Band 41 markets? Is it possible your device sees the Band 41 site and not allowing you to connect to Band 25 LTE?
Robert via Samsung Note 8.0 using Tapatalk Pro
Possibly. I did enable all bands in the LTE settings menu and saw no improvement on this particular tower by my work that's giving me issues

For those with LTE signal issues. Are you using a case at all? Could that be part of the problem?
I get signal near home without any issues, but at work I get forced to CDMA. I tried without a case here at work and got no change. I'm using the Spigen Neo Hybrid

I'm at work at the moment which has B41 and B25 LTE. What's interesting is that my device isn't connected to either. It's on eHRPD.
On the way to work it would not connect to LTE after a few miles on the freeway.
I can hypothesize that when this device is in a B41 area it will not connect to LTE on any band.
I will see if it connects when I get back home.
Toggling airplane mode allows LTE to show briefly, then it falls back onto eHRPD.
Any ideas on what to try?

This sounds like the exact same thing that is happening to me. It seems that traveling away from a connected LTE tower somehow disallows other towers to successfully connect to LTE. That's the best way I can describe it at least

Does anyone have an opinion on whether getting a new SIM would help with LTE connectivity issues? My local store has some extras on hand
-
I don't think its the device.... Its got to be something else. Two different triband devices acting the same way when I had them. Both devices can't be bad...Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
When being stuck on CDMA on those towers, do you also lose data completely for a few minutes every ten minutes or so
-
How Could it be that it will connect to some sites but not others? Could it be possible that something is not enabled or installed at these sites preventing triband devices to connect.
This is exactly what I've wondered. Sprint chat basically thinks I'm crazy and tells me to go to a repair center, but I'll wait and see if Sprint updates their profile and PRL for this phone after it's officially available. The way others have no issues makes me want to just return it to Google and try another one

Patience worked for me here in my area of Oklahoma City. This morning the tower by my work now has LTE for my N5. It's much stronger signal strength when compared to my Note 2
