  1. My job has moved me from downtown Cleveland out to Bratenahl.  I essentially get no coverage in my building at all for data and I'm lucky to be able to get a text or make a call.

our parking lot is right on the lake.

Any ideas as far as coverage?  My coworkers with V or T get data and cell reception in the building.  Sigh.

  2. Could not pull LTE in the parking lot at Spruce School and the speed was NOTHING with 3G.  Right behind Spruce school (south of the school) is 480.  This neighborhood is just a black hole for Sprint and not sure why, considering 480 is just south of us, they don't fix it.  Sigh...

  3. Cleveland shows spark along the North coast from lorain county to Eastern Cuyahoga..  Does this mean that they actually have activated 800mhz LTE (That is part of spark, correct?)

I thought iPhone 6 was able to use Spark too??  If you chose the iPhone 6 as your device, it doesn't show any yellow...just purple and orange?

  4. That's certainly a possibility to call Sprint to see if some adjustment can be made.  My signal didn't really improve once the upgrade happened to my local tower, but I can connect to it up to 10 miles away now, so coverage distance certainly improved.

I did call Sprint yesterday and was told that there is a ticket created, but then she said there were outages, but there was a ticket, but there were outages in the area, but there was a ticket created for the outage AND for coverage issues.  Sigh...so I guess they know about the issue since there is a ticket open, but if it's the ticket I opened a year and half ago they aren't very concerned about closing that ticket.

  5. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with LTE, pongool.  Do you get it LTE elsewhere?  Myself and others have confirmed that there is plenty of LTE to be had at Great Northern, so all you should have to do is travel maybe to the other side of town.  I don't think you would need to even go that far to find some LTE.

Yeah, must be something about my 'hood.  Once I hit Lorain and go east (towards the mall) the signal gets better and the data rolls faster.  going west it stays horrible.  I can't believe they wouldn't want better signal and speed at the intersection of Stearns and Lorain.

I was told (before they started to build up and activate the new network) that my house was "just outside the range of 3 different towers" and "after we get our new network up and running your neighborhood will be great".  Ummmm...ain't so great.  Walked around my block and didn't connect to LTE but once, and when I ran a speedtest it failed and the LTE icon was gone once the test was done.  Wonder if they would/could "tweak" the towers to make them better, faster, stronger in my area?  I know ATT did that a few years ago when I complained about a bad signal in my area.  Or maybe I'm banished to live in a black hole of technology forever??

  6. It's funny how this thread just dies every once in a while.  I try to revive it so the people who are WAAAY smarter than me can help enlighten me on what is going on.  My contract is up and I'm just waiting on the new iPhone and I want to know if Sprint will be a viable carrier or not once I make my decision in September.  Thanks all!

  7. I doubt it because by then more network upgrades should have been done. When people get phones that support Spark (Tri-Band LTE) network load will be pushed to other bands like 800MHz and 2600MHz so 1900MHz will be less congested.

i thought that I read that we were in a unique situation here in the Cleveland market  because of our proximity to Canada and the use of all the bands?
