Down at the 701 site South of Conway a ways and I see no work yet here, I will head over to 90/22 on Thursday to check. Still 1x/EV-D0 only.

I drove by (twice) the 90/22 site today and nothing... I either had a boost of confidence from my cellular booster thingy (I get a weak LTE signal on it from the 905 site north of Conway) -- or placebo effect.  There is a small chance they put LTE on the 9/905 site as well but I am not holding my breath... Or maybe they were testing.

You know what your looking at and will quickly know if 90/22 is strictly GMO still or not and look forward to your findings..

I think we might be getting some GMO upgrades around here. I have some moderate LTE at home that I didn't have a week ago... I will investigate further and get back with this board.

Not much of a change than before, except $20 a phone instead of $15 like it is now (and 12gb for 80/mo insgtead of 10gb)... also interesting to see the $5 per smartwatch... does that pretty much confirm that the next apple watch will be network connected instead of to the phone?

Does anyone know what tower is going up at rte 9&57 behind bojangles? This just went up in the past couple of days and the panels are going on it today. I sure hope it's Sprint, this site would solve 95%of my issues. From what I can tell all of the other companies have great service here so I may have some hope. 

It could be Verizon too?  I have horrible coverage on Verizon right around that area...  Sprint there is really bad too, of course as you know.

Good luck.. this device release thing is what I believe cost sprint a new customer that I tried to bring onboard from TMO awhile back... she said it was the worst experience she ever had to deal with.  it started with me trying to reactivate a phone on our account that I had briefly tried (and failed HA!) to use on Freedompop... Their fix was to overnight her two prepaid iPhones... total FAIL.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to see a newer model of the Samsung Galaxy Mega. A model with a 6.5 inch, 2560x1440p resolution, 3GB of RAM, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, 4,600 mAh battery, USB 3.0, the latest cpu and gpu.

I am totally with you!  I loved my Mega but it was just too sluggish and the screen was way too washed out...

New sites, gmo conversions and Nextel conversions in the Columbus, Ohio market can't come soon enough.

Yup, until the convert our GMOs and fill in a handful of dead zones I am in a holding pattern with Sprint around here...

Daylight savings time should be shot in the head, and left to suffer on the side of the road.... hate it.

While residents are good at computing the time conversion for California or New York, we do get confused at areas in between like Denver, since we may not know which zone they are in. And Daylight savings time will always throw us off since the date of the time change isn't publicized here. We learn to cope since some cable TV shows are on California time, so right now The Daily Show is at 8:00 but in the Spring it will start at 9:00.

Is it safe to presume someone living in Hawaii has gotten good at doing the time conversion from EDT, EST, PDT, PST, etc etc on the fly due to most everything being published in that fashion?  Just curious... I know growing up in CST/CDT I pretty much automatically subtracted an hour from whatever I heard (since everything was EST/EDT)... Now that I am in Eastern I am spoiled lol...

Two hours for PST, 3 hours for PDT. We don't have daylight savings time here.

My guess is it is just depends on the rep.  I can only tell you my personal experience and my only involvement was posting my ID on reddit and waiting. 

 

With 8 already in your group you could post on there and have 10 pretty quick, if you are concerned about it.  It's really no big deal and you don't have to give any personal info.

So then why did they give my two friends such a hard time????? One is joining ANOTHER friends ATT family plan and the other ran back to T-Mobile.... Meanwhile I have 8 people on my framily... Great, for now... if it drops any lower I will start to be concerned..

I drive the stretch of I-95 in SC once a month, usually (sometimes I cut off and go through Charleston for various reasons -- and that is not a better option!) and

(a) that road really does suck.. it was worse -- the worst of the cracked up concrete was paved over a few years ago..

( there are still a half dozen or more cell sites ("towers") that are not upgraded to LTE yet... Your a premier sponsor, check out your route on there and you will see what hasn't been done yet, what is about to be done, and what will be done someday...

The phone was streaming Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Netflix most of the trip for our 11 month old daughter because that's what keeps her entertained, .   It was constantly buffering and she would let us know because she would start spitting out gibberish and signaling her hands towards the phone, .     

 

A few times I would have my wife turn the phone on airplane mode on, then off and hope it'd pick up a better signal.   Sometimes it would connect to LTE, but next thing we know it'd be buffering again on 3G.    We are going back up north in March, so hopefully the service will be better for us next trip.   I hated the death stare I kept getting from my wife everytime it'd buffer, yet my iPhone 6 via Verizon had great LTE (but I couldn't stream with that because I'm on a data share plan    ).     That's why also stay with Sprint because we have unlimited data and I know everything is going to get better.      I'm not sure if we'll be taking i95 of i75 in March, but I plan to go visit my brother again, so hopefully I'll use i95 to get some redemption.   

 

 

On that note, we traveled 181 miles via i95 in SC and that has got to be the WORSE highway I have ever driven on.  They need to add a 3rd lane to each side of the highway because it took forever to get out of that state.   I was so happy once I reached GA because traffic sped up once it went to 3 lanes.       We also ate at Logan's Roadhouse in Savannah, GA.   Do yourself a favor and skip over that place if you ever decide to eat there.   I want to say it was off exit 104.   Everyone I ate at before have been great, but the steaks there had zero taste.   Of course I still ate it and didn't complain because it was better than fast food, lol.

I have used chrome for the last year or so, and IE before that and never had any problems ordering anything.

Well, I was not able to... And chat "recommended" Firefox, which did work.

Well they sent another prepaid phone to my friend.... She is porting back to t-mobile in the morning... Very sad. The way her and I were treated the last 8 days, it will be a very long time before I make another referral to Sprint.

EDIT:  It is official... she has to take the time to mail back two Sprint Prepaid I-Phone 4S phones -- they will not credit her credit card the $80 they charged it, so they will supposedly have to put a $80 credit on my account -- which I will have to get to my friend.. My Samsung Epic is supposedly "no good" in their system anymore -- she will have to get that back to me (although it is likely useless)... I am now unable to add friends to my framily account.. who knows how messed up my phone bill will be for this month.

She was able to port right back to T-Mobile this morning in less than an hour, with no problems. This is not a rant, or intended to be one.. this is the summary of a huge chain of horrible events the last 8 days trying to bring a friend on-board to Sprint and the failure it became...

EDIT2:  Since I wrote this, they have worked with me in regards to this mess (they reached out to me) -- and they made a generous offer to her to try to drag her back from the dark side -- but, understandably, she is not looking back and is sticking with T-Mobile...

it was an old Epic... my friend got upset and they agreed to sell her an iPhone 4S for $80 with no activation... so we should be good... I will definitely be holding onto that phone though...

Funny thing is.. she is STILL not activated... they supposedly sent her a pre-paid phone!!! they are saying they CAN activate that one, in an hour's time... at this time she is STILL not up and going -- and her T-Mobile number has been ported into Sprint for three days now and she is in the dark -- no way to contact her... Sprint is all sorts of messed up right now (all this plus being told I had to use Mozilla Firefox because ordering didn't work on IE or Chrome really opened my eyes)...

I actually have this issue now with an LTEVO that i was trying to give to my mom.  They said it is no longer in the system so they can't reactivate it.  They tried to say i flashed the phone or something and i told them this phone has been sitting on my shelf since i last used it.

 

Sounds like someone flashed my esn on their non-sprint phone.

I was just told the exact thing (with the exact accusation) today trying to activate an old Epic that was on the shelf like yours... Bet there is a problem with their database! Not happy atm...

If she doesn't use more than 100 minutes it is hard to beat the $35 online only plan. 5GB data, unlimited text.. And you can use TM prepaid phones.

...yeah, but if she doesn't use more than 1GB of data, it is hard to beat the $25 framily plan -- and that comes with unlimited talk/text -- and you can use Sprint phones which sell for 10 to 30% less than VZW or GSM phones...

...and if she does need more data, $35/mo for 3gb plus unlimited talk/text is still the same price... if she uses more than THAT then the $45 for unlimited is probably better anyways...I really liked the Framily pricing scale -- it is a shame they abandoned it completely (rather than remarket it)...

I'm REALLY bummed by this... Was going to add my grandparents for new lines and possibly an additional iPhone to my account as a new line and I would be able to get it to at least $35... Like Rocket said, we might just need to be creative about it. 

 

But for now, I guess I'll be stuck at $50. 

 

They really want people off Framily, don't they?

you can still add Framily lines to an existing Framily account... you just can't create a new account and be added to a framily...

I only have 7 now.

well, if it drops to 6 it is actually cheaper to add a 7th line lol...

I wouldn't be so upset about it if I hadn't merged our neighbors on with their two lines and added another friend on his own account -- otherwise, I would be more ready to move to a newer plan or bail to VZW or ATT -- but I feel obligated to our neighbors/friend to keep the plan at what was "promised"...

Yes, that in order to get my best friend on my Framily, I'll have to add him to my account. Now to try and transfer billing responsibility so he can have the account separate.

I am disgusted by their handling of this... I will have 6 on my account after adding my friend and two other accounts with three lines (for a total of nine) -- so I am safe for now on the $25/line...

That Framily plans are no longer for new customers (on existing framily's)?

LG G3 Vigor is now discounted $72 by buying on Easy Pay meaning you'll pay the same as the Sharp Aquos Crystal. That's number 3 of 24 Spark devices.

It is good to see Easy Pay discounts!  The only way they will get me to buy a new phone is with such promotion, otherwise Swappa or Ebay will gain my phone business.

In other news it appears a new account can not join to a Framily anymore, a friend of mine has been trying to port out of T-Mobile all day and failed (until a rep tricked us into adding her ONTO my account, which we have decided will be okay in the end).... This really sucks for existing framily's as their bills will slowly get higher as people fall of the framily.  What a marketing disaster that was.
