  1. Well I am hoping to get a LG Optimus F3 at some point. And since it is dark purple on 74 in front of my house I can only assume that I should get coverage. Just the only thing I am worried about is virgin mobiles throttling if it applies to 4g. I read all over the place for there tos and couldn't find much of anything about their 4G LTE.
  2. So how accurate is this map on the main page anyways? As it would seem I should be able to get it easily just don't have the money for the phone at the moment. But I just wanted to make sure before buying a phone.
  3. Well it is great that I should be able to get 4g through virgin now. But I am wondering if it would possibly reach the loop. So would anyone be able to know if it would be able to reach the dutchtown loop since it is getting almost full signal on 74 it looks like. Also I was wondering how accurate these maps are. As don't phones take a minute sometimes to update on what the signal is?
  4. Well I have tried talking to virgin mobile about the 800 and 2600Mhz spectrum and they had no idea of what I was talking about. All they were saying was my phone doesn't support 4g even though I kept saying I am going to be getting a 4g phone I am just wanting to know that since the phone I am wanting supports the 3 spectrums will it work on all three or will it only use the 1900Mhz spectrum since it isn't directly through sprint. They also said that my phone has the 800Mhz support which I believe they meant for the 3g or the processor but my processor is 1Ghz so I think it was probably for the 3g network. So since this is the case I think that if the 3g supports the 800Mhz spectrum what would stop the 4g from supporting it as well? I honestly don't know. I am just going to have to wait until I can get a 4G phone. At this point I don't think I will be able too. My parents are paying for the phone bill for my old phone I gave them. And the new phone that I got at the middle of the year maybe closer to the beginning was a $40 but no 4g I wonder why? I wasn't going to get a 4g phone at the time as I though sprint wouldn't have the network built here anytime soon and was I wrong or what. If it isn't available in my area already then it should reach me by the end of the year. As I heard that they were putting 4G on all of there towers due to their network vision build out. I was told that network vision is upgrading the old equipment on the tower as well as adding the 4g to the tower as well combining all of the signals on one tower. I am kind of surprised how all the signals don't interfere with each other being all on the same tower. But I guess that they have had some towers like that already. Well there I go again writing a book. Anyways that is about it I just hope I can get the 4g once I do I hope I can help by using the sensorly app to update the map a little since some people don't always go through such a small town.
  5. The phones would have youtube and netflix which is all I would be worried about for the most case. I could always just get millenicom so I can get the internet on my computer as it would be the best option anyways.
  6. Thanks lilg740. I am hoping I can access the 4G LTE as I have a clear view all the way over to chaffee. There is little to no trees between here and there. Also I have noticed my 3G speeds have increased greatly. I use to be able to get 1.3Mbps if I was lucky and now it goes up to 2Mbps sometimes faster. Also it stays there at those speeds and doesn't slow down until throttling takes effect. And my signal strength has greatly improved as I use to only get 2 sometimes 3 bars. Now I get all 5 most of the time and that is in the back of the house in the front sometimes I didn't even get but 3 bars outside which was odd. So due to this I am hoping that this should indicate that the tower that they are working on 4G LTE also has the 3G being worked on so then if that is the case then maybe I can reach the 4G LTE possibly. And as for the 800Mhz spectrum if it is for the phones case then it should support it. As the phone I am looking at it says 800 as well as the other spectrum. Is it something virgin mobile and boost are specifically just blocking support for it for some reason? Or is it that since it is a prepaid service sprint isn't going to let them have access to everything like having faster speeds like the contract users get. Seems like all away around companies are just not really caring about people that can't get a good credit score or can't afford something that isn't worth it. Well I just sent a message to virgin mobile. But they probably will have no idea what spectrums, bands, and MVNOs are. I am kind of getting why you are saying it won't be available possibly. As they are leasing the signal from sprint and I am guessing they have separate equipment on towers for MVNO's or possibly just cut off specific spectrum and cap their speeds so they only go so fast?
  7. So what is wrong with virgin mobile? Would I be able to get a phone and place it in the window to get the 4G LTE possibly?
  8. Well I am new here. I have joined specifically to look into the latest on sprint 4g LTE updates. As I have no 4g LTE device yet and will get one as soon as I know it is available in my area. As people in small rural areas like 100 population or less knows there is little to no good internet options available. Sure there is Verizon 4G LTE available now and faster Satellite interent. But the thing is they cost way more than what anyone would want to pay for just a small amount of data that some people go through in just a week or so from using netflix and youtube in a house with multple people in it. The best option for some people in small rural areas is 3G and that is if you are lucky. It is exactly what I have and using 1.3Mbps that slows down to 256Kbps is just terrible. When I heard about Sprint getting 4G LTE rolled out I felt that dutchtown has finally got a company that won't just bypass them like every other company has. Like it is crazy I am in the center where every city around us has at least dsl or cable and dutchtown has nothing just satellite and 3G with companies charging too much for 4g and satellite. Anyways I have went on long enough and being way off topic and writing a book you might as well say. Anyways I am wondering if anyone from cape has went through into dutchtown and got 4g LTE signal for sprint. As I am planning on getting a virgin mobile 4G phone or go back to millenicom which costs more for internet that I can rely on. Well if anyone has read this completely thank you for caring.
