  1. Finally! Hope there is wifi calling. I will just be happy to get nfc payments back. I was pissed when I found out the G2 didnt have it because I used it all the time.

You'd think they would specifically list Wifi calling as an added option :( that would be really nice though!

  2. I just got a Sprint update.  I'm running android version 4.2.2     Software version LS980ZVA.   Are those recently released?

No, that one came out early Feb. :(

  3. I do love my G2, but I think I may give the GS5 a shot on TMobile since they pay ETFs. It's not much of an upgrade, but I don't want to get another G2 if better is out, especially considering G3 is a month or two away possibly. If the KK update really makes a big difference in signal and such, I will most likely cancel TMobile within my trial period :D I have been Samsung for quite some time, but loved all the customization I could make with the G2 without root (though I am rooted still  :P )

  4. Hmm, I'm not sure what to say about that article. I read it and I understand it, but what I'm confused about is how the Spark update made my phone have even worse reception than before the Spark update. Like now 3G is even slower. Is that article basically saying that the Triband phones that are now spark enabled going to have worse reception in many places until more updates are done to the sites? I guess i am just most confused why 3G is so much worse now since I thought that was nothing new.

  5. Ever since the Spark update my phone reception has been just bad... it was bad before, but it's much worse overall now :( my wife has a GS3 and sometimes she will be on LTE and mine won't see it. Other times I have full 3G signal, wife's GS3 has 1-2 bars, yet her speeds are much better. WTF.

I'm not even able to stream music from Google music because the speed is too slow, while her's works within seconds with us both in the car. I've done PRL updates and all that... is this just crappy LG radio or why on earth would my wife's phone be getting better speeds and sometimes LTE reception right next to me. Shouldn't this phone have all the same support and more in terms of frequency?

    (we are both on sprint)

  6. a fewv things are interesting with that article no PCs hblock... unlimited may go away sooner than anticipated...

I wouldn't read into it much. Sprint has nothing going for it if they remove unlimited data. I would bet it would be years at least before that goes, if it ever does. They are just trying to scare people to get on their new plans to pay more. When I picked up my G2 they were trying to convince me to go to their unlimited guaranteed plans, even though mine is unlimited right now (though no guarantee it will be forever) and they said "for just a mere $30 extra a month" they could convert my plan to unlimited data for life before tax. I just laughed and said no thanks. I have an old Employee referral plus family plan that they don't offer anymore.

  7. Called my local Sprint store and they said they are getting their shipment in this afternoon and will be able to sell me one in the morning, WOOT! Wasn't sure they'd actually get them in-store if pre-order demand was too high or something.

  8. about the 14 day return policy the day your ordered, not received.... it's crap and Dell is even worse. If your item is delayed for whatever reason that also counts toward your days. I canceled a refurbished monitor from them because it was delayed 2 weeks which would cut into the 30 day return policy a ton. Such bad policy, should be the day you RECEIVED the item, not ordered :(

  9. Do we think Sprint will carry the LG G2 in stores on Nov 8th too? I'd love to snag one, but due to work stuff I need to be able to buy new phone and trade in old one at the same time...

  10. I thought I read somewhere that the Samsung Tribands would get an update shortly after release and the G2 and N5 would get the update in early 2014.

Yeah you did - I know I saw it on Engadget's post:

The first Spark-supported phones, Samsung's Galaxy Mega and Galaxy S 4 mini and LG's G2, will be available on Sprint's network on November 8th. Software updates for Samsungs' handsets will enable tri-band "shortly after launch," with a similar update scheduled for early 2014 for the G2.

Who knows when "shortly after launch" is though. For all we know that could be a few weeks to 6 months or more. Heck the G2 may get the update before Samsung's devices. We really don't know enough to say for sure.

  11. The Diztronic cases are Awesome.  They're the only case I've used for my last 4 phones and have had nothing but good luck.  Not to mention, They're a steal.  Even If you don't think the case is for you, I'd still say give it a shot, at nine bucks, you can't go wrong. You can get them cheaper on Amazon sometimes, too.

This is the brand of case I will most likely get also.

Just can't decide if I go for a black or white G2... I've got a white note 2 now...

  12. If you are on the fence between the LG G2 and Nexus 5, you should wait until Google announces it at their next event for Android 4.4 KitKat and Nexus 5.  Although most of the specs for the Nexus 5 have already been leaked including the shape of the phone.  I think all of us are just waiting to have it confirmed by Google. In terms of either Sprint or Tmobile is really up to you.  Since you are planning to get a triband LTE device, it is no secret that Robert has made a trip to Colorado and has confirmed that LTE 2600 is live and is all over Colorado with his triband LTE hotspot.  Not to mention that LTE 1900 deployment is already underway and LTE 800 is ramping up deployment starting this month.  If you move to Tmobile, all they have is high band LTE (1700/2100 MHz) since they have no low band spectrum.  While Tmobile LTE might be more consistent and faster at this point in Colorado, Sprint will surpass them in speed and coverage in 2014.

I'm in a little disbelief but I really do hope that's the case. I know Robert has mentioned it so that's good. I just need to see it for myself!

Btw is Nexus 5 going to be triband? If not then I will likely preorder the G2.

Not sure about the One up.. I do get a new device each year for work but I have an Everything Plus plan so I've not done the math to see if I'd save any money yet.
