  1. My wife is still having issues with her HTC LTE. I have none with my S4. Took it into Sprint lat night. He did "something". Now she's getting texts, but still crappy call quality. She'll loose a call going from one room to another in our house. Never a problem before the tower switches to 800. The Sprint guy said I'm lucky if I haven't had any dropped calls. FWIW Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk.
  2. That idea about the phone being bad could be something. Her HTC LTE drops calls 2 or 3 times just when she talks to her mom. Today she used my S4 on a couple calls and no dropped calls at all. Not scientific of course, but makes me think it may be time to get a new phone for her or maybe hers is bad or something. Thanks for the insight guys. :-) Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk.
  3. Thought about it some more... She has an HTC LTE. Maybe that's part of the prob. I'm looking for legit feedback. I don't mind Sprint at all. Right now, she minds it! LOL Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk.
  4. Will the call quality get better in central Iowa? I don't talk much on my phone, so I don't drop much. My wife talks A LOT! She drops a lot of calls too. She lets me hear it! :-) She wants to switch carriers now. It's that bad. Few months ago, no drops. I live just north of the water tower in Ankeny about a mile. She drops calls walking from room to room. No joke. I'm not complaining. I'm looking for sound advice from you guys - the experts. :-) I'm all about the speed outside my home. She's all about the call quality. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk.
  5. I was actually leaving work heading home to Ankeny on 69. Not that I would get all geeked out and take a bunch of screenshots when I'm driving though... Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk.
  6. I'm very south Ames, but was getting signal. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk.
  7. Thanks for the reply. I'm closest to the one by the water tower, so I'll keep tabs on that one for sure.
  8. I've looked around a bit and excuse the noob question, but what's the difference in the "flagpole" tower and the "normal" towers? I'm in Ankeny, and I've seen the one behind the Sprint store as well as the one behind Village Inn. I never knew the one behind Vilage Inn was a cell tower until I saw the maps. There is also a flagpole tower in the middle of the ballfields over on 18th (not Sprint). Where do they put the RUUs?
  9. The message "Message sent to invalid destination. Please check your number and try again. Msg 2127" is what got me to this forum, but I like what I'm seeing! I've been with Sprint since 2000. Lots of phone and lots of money later, and I'm seriously thinking about switching. Damn, even the USCellular guys I know are bragging about having 4g. Good to know 4g is actually coming. I hope it reaches to north part of Ankeny though!
