Those are consistent with results from other markets as well; I'm now satisfied that there is plenty of evidence to support the GCI sector patterns recognized by S4GRU members are intentional. Thank you for keeping tabs on this for me, and thank you Sprint for keeping it simple! Have you noticed if B25/B26 PCI's for the same site are identical? I know it has proven true in some areas, but I'm not yet sure if that's a coincidence or part of the plan, and I know you've been keeping a close eye on this stuff.
SignalCheck has the capability, and Android 4.2+ has the structure in place; it's just a matter of the phone itself reporting the information or not. Sprint Samsungs do not have a good track record with this.
Someone with a newer device will have to give you a definitive answer on this; as far as I can remember, I haven't heard of any stock Samsung devices reporting any LTE info except for on the engineering screens. The S4T doesn't even report the correct PLMN, and that radio should be Sprint-specific!
I have expressed my opinion on this to Samsung numerous times, but it's not like I'm put in direct contact with the developers or "enginerrs" -- no matter how many e-mails, tweets, or phone calls I am forwarded to, it always ends in "we'll pass it along to the appropriate people". I have no idea why they neglect to report this data on Sprint phones; I know it's reported on at least some other provider's devices, such as AT&T.
Interesting -- could you get me a screen shot of that and/or hit About > Send Diagnostics from within SignalCheck while on an HD Voice call? Maybe there's something I can hook onto.
What do you mean by "results"? CDMA 800 or LTE 800? SignalCheck reports everything the radio is reporting to it; if the app is open, it's listening for data. The only exception is that while a phone call is active, the app stops showing some cell site ID data, because Android does not update it while the phone is off-hook. The signal levels will continue to update, but SID/NID/BID does not.

Sorry it took so long but here ya go. T-Mobile network Hspa+ for me (LG G2), uncle on 4GLTE in his area (S4).

Speaking of spark and consistency and what not, is Sprint using Spark to lighten the load on 1900lte or do they plan to eventually go 10x10 nationwide in 1900LTE (where needed first of course) ?

I wish I could randomly acquire a g2 so I could try out b41 in orlando and see how it works. One day.
Sold mine for 260. Would've loved avoiding PayPal and shipping cost. Hindsight 20/20 man.

Not that it means anything at all. But sprint is apparently doing something in the forums where they check the 5 closest towers to you to see how they're doing on upgrades. Perhaps they have more information now? Anyways, I pm'd a sprint care rep and it took 3 days but I got a response. They said, "Based on your area and the information I have, you should expect to see a huge improvement in coverage in April 2014.".
Possible b26 launch? I've been wondering why there has been little to no progress in Orlando with b25 sites with the exclusion of sites that are outside of Orlando. Perhaps because they've been focusing on getting those carrier cards installed and are going to do some type of cluster launch. I'm not getting my hopes up though.
Phoenix and (Texas is so big and I've never been so I confuse the cities) Houston I believe were 1x800 smr cluster launches. I put nothing past it happening within Orlando city limits either.
It's been nice with Sprint (let's stay positive) wish the best on the roll out, but I had to leave this past Thursday. Boiled down to getting what worked best in our frequent locations.

Eh not doing it now, reckon the call recipients were on uma wifi calling right now. I'm on UMTS/HSPA 42+ in my area for the most part. I noticed it yesterday in daytona, ironically noticed it on my Sprint G2 Tuesday last week via the hidden menu and obvious clarity boost. Orlando is looking up for the 3rd and 4th place "underdogs"

Sure can. Lemme do that right right now

Any possibilities for rooted users with the xposed framework? Could a plug in there provide the needed data?

I know a few t-mobile androids do it right on stock. From the time the other party answers the phone. Black writing highlighted in yellow says HD VOICE.

i know. It was either here or in the le premier sponsor thread but I was wondering if anyone else in orlando had experienced the same issues with brighthouse.
Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk
*off-topic* But I've had that issue, it self corrected for me it seems. Not sure what the cause was, lasted for 2 days. Went from a 10/1 connection to a 6/0.5 type connection similar to yours.

I think I've had one but it is hard to confirm if every call says the same as your S0

Well I've noticed that 4GNV or something like that pop up when I've called landlines and Verizon iPhones and even an AT&T phone. Just a few days I've only seen 8K EVRC so something went live here.

Trust me, my first HD voice call was today. You'll notice the difference right away. We were on neighboring cell sites, LG G2 to single band GS4. Screenshot -> http://goo.gl/w9nao9

Anyone know if on screen phone will come along with the KitKat update? Sort of missing from what I can gather.

Overall I'm satisfied with my sprint service since switching away from HTC devices. If I wouldn't have purchased a Nexus 5. I wouldn't have known sprint has this much LTE coverage.

After having Evo LTE and a HTC One, I know that exact feeling. Can't believe I gave up the S4 (single band) for a HTC One but thankfully got a G2 at a steal of a deal. Getting LTE a lot more for sure

I look forward to not being obsessed with speed tests because I will just know that I am going to have exceptional to amazing and reliable speeds.
That day will come. Hopefully soon this march. Glad to see Gainesville is doing so well over there

Can't wait for that day. Im slowly backing away from using speed test because it does use unnecessary network resources. Sometimes I wonder how much a COW would be to place in the backyard lol.

No problem, I'll try it again today, We should both be on LTE (well kicks down to HSPA+ for the call) so sending shouldn't be an issue. Anything to contribute, excellent app, helped a bunch when I had Sprint, still does now. Your work is appreciated.
