  1. Thank you very much for the detailed explanations. That has helped a lot. I'm really happy to see LTE being rolled out and I'll look forward to continue improvement. Rick
  2. It's great to see LTE here in East Layton. It appears progress is being made. However, the intital test results are disappointing. I was actually getting slightly better download speeds with the 3G. Uploads speeds are better with the LTE. The latest download test with LTE was 0.61 mbps. Upload was around 2.5 mbps. I tested it several times and it's always pretty close to that. I am hoping things improve dramatically over the next couple of months. Is that a realistic expectation or am I stuck with the under 1 mbps speed? I would really like to be at 4 mbps download at minimum. I see a lot of online videos of Sprint LTE tests and comparing them to other providers. One I just viewed showed the Spint LTE download speed at around 28 mbps and 13 mbps upload (Seattle area). I'm rather mystified that I'm only getting 0.61 download. All I can figure is that they must be still upgrading and tweaking things here in the Utah area. My Sprint 2 year commitment is up in six months. My last 18 months have not been good at all (just to be honest). I hope Sprint can come through because I would rather not bounce around with cell phone providers. What are your observations about the quality of the upgrades? Will they keep improving? Thanks, Rick
  3. I sure hope they get the 4G LTE up and running in Layton. My current 3G download speed is 0.50 mbps and upload 0.01 mbps - which essentially makes my phone a Wifi only phone. And it's been that way for over a year since I signed up. Not sure why I decided to get Sprint and pay $160 a month for two phones that can't even do data or internet on the roam. (Knocks head). Very embarassing when I'm out with friends who have Verizon. I get laughed at a lot. Rick
