I was just in the renton area and my buddys phone note 2 picks up lte and my nexus 5 didn't....is this because of the circuit fallback issue?

I have 1800 band enabled and network type set to LTE mode.

LTE is available in a lot of Seattle metro areas, but their towers are not placed densely enough to provide service in large buildings.

 

Because of the IBEZ buffer from Canada, without them installing new towers, our service won't improve. So we have to accept what we have now.

 

I have seen removed towers that used to be Nextel, so they aren't interesting in expanding coverage here either. Maybe they'll just wait several years for the IBEZ situation to be worked out.

 

Maybe they'll purchase and add 600 Mhz in the years to come, that would help for sure.

So until/if that happens, our coverage won't improve. 

so you are able to pickup lte on 2500 or 1900 band?

Can anyone in the Seattle area tell me which band they have picked up LTE on?

can anyone in the seattle area post their band settings?

Seattle is in market that has the eCSFB issue.  Don't tinker with B41 and just leave it on B25 only for now until you can establish that B25 LTE starts showing up in Seattle.

Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum to ask this question. I live in the Seattle area and Sensorly shows 4G is available.

I've have enabled LTE / Band 26 / Band 41 and priorities are set to the below:

Band 25 - 0
Band 26 - 0
Band 41- 1

Preferred network mode is set to LTE and not Global. However, I'm always on 3G and never able to pick up 4G.

Did I miss any setting? If not, I suspect its due to this?

What's the best/recommended app to check signal connection/strength? I see a few on the marketplace but prefer opinion from here.

from what I've seen on here, disable band 26 set band 41 at 1 and band 25 at 0

following up what is the purpose of 1 and 0? is it priority order? if so 0 is higher?

this is probably a dumb question and already mentioned on this thread but what priority do you set the 3 bands?
