SPRINT LTE in Fresno is finally LIVE!!

 

It's about time. These LTE speeds I'm getting are AMAZING!!! It feels so damn good to be able to stream Spotify with no pauses....Stream Netflix with no problems!! Is this what Verizon and T-Mobile Customers feel like?? TODAY is a great day for Fresno Sprint Customers

Picked up LTE signal , a really weak one, at the DMV in madera and when I tried to map it went back to 3g

Kerman having dropped calls also, called sprint and they said capacity upgrades being done along with LTE. No time frame for LTE upgrade completion but the capacity upgrades will be done by the 30 of this month. Also said Fresnos LTE upgrades have just barley started (January 8th).

I just downloaded kies and it told me there was an update so I'm guessing mines is official

So guys anyone know if the new 4.3 update to the note 2 now allows for use off 800mhz??

Jusy drove past this intersection again (Sunday @ 6:15 PM) and they are still out there working. Highly unusual- they have been up to something all weekend and seem to be in a huge hurry to get something done. Signal has been on all weekend and haven't noticed anything unusual with it.

Should ask them and see if they will give you any info

Thats just what Im concerned about, that any finished towers will be held until theyre all good to go in 2014.

I'd hope not I mean it seems as if sprint has been about turning on as many LTE sites as possible to attract new customers , hence the reason they turn on sites even when the full town/city isn't completed. But I guess all we can do is wait and see.

I wonder if this triband screwup means Fresno lte wont launch until next year...

Went on a small road trip today for you all today. Mendota is confirmed 4g LTE and so is Firebaugh. Interesting facts: 1. Firebaugh is significantly slower than Mendota. 2. The LTE signal is thrown a huge distance away. I was 8-10 miles away from the Mendota tower when it lit up. He are some pictures below as proof. (and for those wondering, no shots were fired at me when taking the photos!)

Nothing in Fresno yet, pretty sure Fresno will fallow kerman

so it seems as if LTE is on in tulare  . But i have a question if anyone can answer it, when were tulare towers done being upgraded???

What about peak hrs?

I haven't been home during peak hours but when I am I'll take a look. But I did notice that the signal strength went from full down to one bar in the same location I was running the speed test which shouldn't happen. I just ran the speed test now and averaged about .70 mgps download and .83 upload which is high compared to before when at this hour

Kerman's 3g seems to be speeding up pulled 1.8 to 2 Mbps on last 5 speed test hopefully LTE is round the corner

Last night at home, instead of my iphone saying sprint it said extended. What does that mean?

Next time you get that run a speed test, my brother got that on his and he ran a speed test and it was some crazy fast speeds I'll get the screen shot he took of it but if I remember correctly it was over 300 megabytes download

On the freeway today near delano I was picking up 2.5 down .90 up on my iPhone 4S.

Its because of the time, I usually get around the same by 99 and central from 6 to 9

no real speed/signal increase as of yet  

Spoke to city hall today and none of the sites have started work in the city of Fresno ... She had told me that sprint was setting up at the sites and are just waiting for approval

Damit fresno still hasn't approved the applications its been over a month since they put them in :-/ im guessing they didn't tell you a time frame or anything

In Kerman....(yes I may be the only one in Kerman but oh well) I have a friend that actually works at Sebastian Corp. where the Sprint tower is located.  He confirmed that they are laying the 50 ft. fiber to the fiber hub in town which is in the building next door and that the cabinets are being installed.  Samsung also has rented a man lift and are preparing to update the coax to fiber.  We may be 15 mins. west of Fresno but hopefully that is a good sign for you Fresnans to our east as I take it as a good sign for us Kermanites.

Im from kerman too and man we need them to do something the internet speeds have been horrible recently
