Neither of which are indicators of what is actually happening right now.
So for the last month and a half they haven't been getting new sites online, which is what they're supposed to be doing. Great.

It doesn't stop, but it definitely slows down. All work in the north slows down during winter.

I saw that yesterday -- also saw a few threads involving those same characters on the sprint message boards as well. To have someone claiming to have inside knowledge that the Note 3 will indeed end up tri-band is intriguing and something to keep an eye on, but I still have my doubts... The point of the 500 being pushed through the FCC only to then have the 520 push through WITH tri-band is also something to hold up hope for. We will see.
Not a huge stretch of the imagination since HTC is reported to do firmware updates and enable other bands.

So 2.5 months later what are the problems they're having with the 800 mhz? It obviously hasn't gone as smooth as many people said it would.
-
Also sensorly hasnt changed much if at all.
-
The signal & service I've been getting tells me much isn't going on.
-
Do they still have a lot of work to do in ft myers?
-
Does it seem like things have really slowed here?
-
If this has a solid finger print scanner I will be stoked.

It feels like sprint is having larger issues than many of us know. I have traveled across the country in the last 10 days and my service was the worst I have ever had in multiple areas. I am talking major cities & their airports. Things are not good in sprint land right now.

Damn, I'm good.

What percent complete is the SW FL market? I am traveling there soon and am wondering what I can expect my coverage to be like. Thanks. BTW I'm going to be in mostly Ft Myers and Ft Myers Beach area.
-
It has gotten very quiet but some stuff should break soon. We're only 9 days out.

I was getting 4G LTE inside an apartment building around 50th and Dodge in Omaha this weekend. It was weak, but still there. I noticed on sensorly that hasn't been mapped. I wasn't able to map it. Won't be back there for at least a week.

You might want to check the date stamp at the top of the post you quoted.
Completely missed it. Thx

40 X faster should get things zipping along nicely.

I can practically promise you that Sprint will not offer any LTE Advanced capable handsets this year. And LTE 800 capability this year, while possible, is no given either.
Going off of the Network Vision roadmap, I would project that the big LTE 800 device push will be next year, and the big LTE Advanced device emphasis will not be until 2014.
So, on one hand, you can wait for additional options before you upgrade. But you will never get ahead of the curve. And the longer you wait, the longer your subsequent upgrade eligibility just gets pushed back.
Alternatively, you can upgrade now and be in position for another subsidized upgrade by this time in 2014, at which point the LTE Advanced 800 capabilities that you desire are likely to be readily available.

So you're saying that the Note 3 won't be capable of LTE-A?

3G here in Chicago is awful . Love being in an LTE area which Chicago land is getting alot more of, but once it drops back to 3G I put the phone away, cant even stream Spotify or Slacker.
It is because so many people stream Spotify and Slacker and other music and video programs that the service is overloaded. Along with Sprint's less than optimal licenses in Chicago.

I'm hoping for the same thing, just for basketball instead of football. I've had Nebraska season ticklets for several years now, and the Devaney Center has horrendous reception. I'd get there 2 hours before tip off, and service would be okay. But by tip off sending text messages or checking Twitter was pointless, because nothing would go through. I'm hoping PBA's cell service is more reliable.
Pinnacle bank Arena is getting it's own cell network inside the arena. IDK if they're doing anything for Devaney which is going to be used for Vball and other sports.

I noticed there hasn't been much info on how the roll out of refarmed 800 mhz is going... are they having problems? Is it a bigger undertaking than they expected?
-
IMO the thing that really sets it apart is the fiber backhaul. If a tower doesn't have fiber run to it latency and speeds suffer immensely in a city. Might not be a big problem in smaller towns, but will probably become one as more people think it is necessary to stream pandora and youtube 24/7

Galaxy Note 3 Active would be nice
Dream device right there. Even without any specs listed. LOL. Would really like a screen that is easy to read outside.

Its a modest increase assuming these rumors are true. All i am expecting is to get similar battery life to the note 2 except with a slightly larger screen.
Don't forget that you need to be comparing with the Note 2's battery which is actually 3100 maH. This means that 3450 maH vs. 3100 maH Note 2 battery is actually an 11% increase in proposed battery life. I don't get the whole 50 maH battery thing...why not just round it up to 3500 maH,
Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G using Tapatalk 2
It's mostly based on physical size is my guess. At least they didn't round down to 3400 right?

Hopefully we'll see some upgrades before the first football game.

Have they made any progress on their backhaul problems in wichita?
