Interesting, my S3 picks it up no problem all over the Hartford area now. My commute is along the edge of the coverage area and its getting annoying that it keeps bouncing in and out of coverage since I still have the signal check alert set.
Have you tried a PRL update?
-
Saw it, explains why signal check has my phone vibrating in weird locations on my way to work lately.
Bring on the Band 41

Saw some 800mhz in Plainville on RT.10 today

I would expect a few more LTE acceptances soon. Things are moving at a nice pace. Now, if they would just get the towers in Windsor Locks going, the entire heart of the area north of Hartford will be rocking and rolling.
Yes they are, picked up LTE in Canton where RT 177 meets RT 44 on the way home tonight

Cool. I am trying to find out if anyone gets 800mhz around here with an S3 on 25017. So far, I cant find anyone. Other phones with 25017 seem to get on it though. Interesting.
I get it fine too with a modded PRL. Its definitely live all over the place. You cant miss it if you have a device using it, or a PRL calling for it
Picked it up fine Wednesday in Wallingford right where RT68 meets the Wilbur Cross, stock S3 with 25017

Just saw the acceptance report: only 3G updates? =(
Yeah but based on what people are seeing they are apparently actively testing 4G, thats a good thing

Looks like something went live near Maple Ave in Hartford, finally a tower in the capital city
-
Someone must have caught some system testing, that means it should hopefully be live soon!

this is what im seeing in Woonsocket currently. ill have to explore more tomorrow and see where else has it, seems like parts of barrington are getting it that weren't there a week ago. also seeing blips in lincoln and providence. this is really getting exciting
Make a donation here and you'll get access to the tower maps telling you exactly what ones are accepted so you know what direction to head in to map. Saves you driving around and as a bonus helps keep this place running.
fyi robert is in the process of moving so you might not get activated immediately...

Newington was one of the first northern markets to see LTE light up. It's not much but there's a Lil section mapped on the turnpike. Looks like it's coming from the Sprint store location.
I actually mapped that turnpike section a few weeks ago on my way thru, that section is way south of the sprint store & Newington. Still in the Meriden (southern market) section of the turnpike where there are few stores, etc.
I had turned off mapping so there is still more to be mapped there, heading south, since I had to reload sensorly, etc.

Sensorly is showing some new coverage in New Britain.
-
Wasn't at the time, they turned it on since then.

I will be visiting shentel land this Friday to visit Carlisle (I love the car show lol) I'll be doing any sensorly mapping I can.
I was there in late August for the Corvette show. Really good coverage all thru the fairgrounds. I mapped driving in thru the old army barracks gate but then shut it off since I didn't want to kill the battery walking around.

Updates have been flying on the map like crazy. Got some nice pictures I will post Thursday of a recently converted site before and after.
If you arent a sponsor, you are missing out, the maps are going nuts every time they update. We are in that exciting phase now.
Its the end of the month push by the contractors to get paid , and I'm not complaining at all.

So what's going on here? The lte tower in Unionville doesn't broadcast 800mhz?
I don't think anything in the state has officially started broadcasting 800mhz.
Take the tower being down as being a good thing, they are most likely working on it.
-
Mapped a lot of coverage in the northwest corner of the state yesterday afternoon.

Mapped some new coverage in New Hartford center...

Looks like there is something new mapped just west of the Meadows in Hartford.

4G?... In Hartford!.... Really? Don't tease us like this, .
Hockey, did you make sure it uploaded all the data? I just checked mine since I did some mapping earlier and it had some waiting to upload for some reason.

New LTE coverage in Simsbury, mapped some of it on the way home.

Whoops I wasn't even paying attention, I was thinking LTE. I'll take the 800 though, then hopefully I can get rid of my Airave.

Looks like West Hartford is next!
Its always good to see coverage expanding but they are going the wrong direction...I'm further west of all of this...
Should help to boost some sales at the Sprint store in Westfarms too..kinda hard to sell a 4G phone without any service in the area.

Seeing some signs of life finishing leftover work being done on the NV towers. The tower on Rt 4 in Burlington at the high school is now broadcasting LTE, also the one in Canton where Rt 44, 202 and 179 meet is finally LTE too. Fairly recent turned on, just went thru the Canton one within the last month and was definitely still 3G. Mapped it on Sensorly.
