This is FANTASTIC news. iPCS really left this market in severe disrepair and these changes are very welcome news for me (I live in the area).

Ft. Wayne/South Bend Network Vision/LTE Deployment schedule update

It would be interesting to see if any sites get added here as most of this is a former affiliate market. I can vouch that iDEN coverage is MUCH greater in the area than CDMA. I understand this has a lot to do with 800 MHz vs. 1900 MHz but as you can see cell site density isn't that great in some areas, most of the time the sites aren't even in the populated areas or along the state highways. I basically don't even try to use my phone when I'm in N. Indiana. Which is a lot.

Happy to see the two sites covering my hometown (Sturgis) are on the list of the 'initial' towers! Sprint had 3G here in 2007 before Verizon (then Alltel) and AT&T only activated 3G here two WEEKS ago.

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if this was the towards the top of the list because of this. AT&T and Verizon have done the same in the past. I think overall Sprint knows this market was severely underdeveloped by their former affiliate and they appear to be attempting to make it right. One step at a time.
