  1. Hope you're not close enough to Palatka to smell it lol! I got family in Melrose and lived there for a year. Used to work at Miller's grocery store in Keystone Heights before they closed it and opened whatever is there now.

  2. Okay so didn't find any LTE at Northlake mall area, but I did expand a little on the sensorly map around the I-77 & I-85 interchange. On the way there my phone was in eHRPD mode and made the transition to LTE flawlessly, but on the way back the phone was in Evdo Rev A mode and it took an airplane mode toggle to get it to pick up LTE again.

  3. If I were a genius and/or had the free time to do it, I would (try to) create an android app that could save/load prl's on any android phone.

Sprint galaxy nexus owners are lucky cause we have an app to do just that (granted that you are rooted.) XDA member BigRushDog created the Sprint Diagnostics app that can switch out PRL's on the fly, as well as other various data and debugging options. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774503&highlight=sprint

  4. As I was driving to lunch today I passed a tower and saw a lady walking around the base wearing a bright green vest. I figured I'd stop by on the way back to ask if she knew anything about the tower upgrade but she was gone by the time I came back by the tower. I was really hoping it was some kind of final inspection before the tower goes live.

  5. Yea just a little sarcasm lol. I assumed that the Charlotte downtown area would be the priority for the market due to the number of users there. Also, I know it isn't the largest market, but I wondered if there'd hit break neck pace on towers like the ones in the Chicago. If the weekly numbers move that fast then yeah it shouldn't be long.

I'm really hoping for a Chicago style approach to the market, from the outside in and at a pretty good pace.
  6. I also havent seen eHRPD at all on my phone today, makes me wonder if they had to take it off line for some behind the scenes tuning??

i've noticed on my nexus that it won't connect to ehrpd automatically but if i cycle airplane mode it'll connect to it. It's been that way since i first noticed ehrpd connectivity a few weeks back.
  7. No... I stream radio off my phone from out of town ( hometown) and it worked just fine.. I also checked the phone status and saw it connected on LTE... I was in my car so didn't feel like fooling around too much.. checked the phone status at a traffic light... I can check sensorly later... I'll also check how it works further in on Providence... I went the other way this AM to my job.. Sprint's service on Providence in towards Meyers Park and Eastover has been choppy..

very nice.......I can't wait to see some purple blips in NC and hopefully it starts creeping up north to where I'm at.
  8. I live just north of the corner of Fairview and Providence and when I went to my car this morning and turned off my WIFI on my Galaxy S3, there I saw 4G!!! I continued to get the 4G as I turned on to Sardis and it kept up until Rama... I only got 3G the rest of the way including Independence... I was able to run my Apps but didn't try and Speed Tests or other tests... I know there is a major tower near me that also was where I got my WIMAX when I had an EVO previously......

so when you say your were able to run you Apps, you mean sensorly right?
  9. My 3GS was getting eHRPD this past weekend back in Jacksonville, FL... pretty consistent throughout the Southside areas I was in all weekend.. I'll keep an eye out for 4G turn-on...

Back here in Charlotte, only CDMA in the areas I drive in...

up here in Salisbury i noticed that eHRPD wasn't showing up anymore. But it will come back after a radio reset. Doesn't seem to stick around though.
