  1. Again, that is pulling specs from the previously released version. We cannot yet vouch that the Sprint variant will share those same specs.

Phone Arena is not a great source for 3GPP2 (CDMA2000) handset info. It is too focused on the 3GPP (GSM ecosystem) side. Note how the posted comparison does not even include the appropriate CDMA2000 and LTE capabilities for Sprint.

I can agree bands may change but most specs will remain the same

  2. Nice cover, but...

..........Leaning to the LG G2 for my wife.

    LG 423ppi ( 1080x1920 ) vs Mega of 233ppi ( 720x1280 )

13MP cam on Lg  vs 8 MP on Mega..

Both support Wi ac, but the LG also does 5GHz, while the Mega doesnt.

LG G2 has 2048 Megs RAM versus 1536 Megs RAM on Mega

LG has a quad core Snapdragon 800 running at 2260 Mhz... The Mega has a dual core running at 1700 Mhz..

  3. He mentioned it won't have td lte 2600, and only mentioned it would have 1900 and said not having the band wont impact sales. I don't see how mentioning that the iphone has 800mhz LTE would have been a bad thing as it provides more coverage and building penetration so I don't see why he wouldn't have mentioned that. Would give people the ease of mind knowing they at least get dual band

If you re-read what he said above Sprint won't want to mention what it's missing. NO markets are 100% 1900 LTE complete &  As far as I know in all ( or most ) markets - there is no 800 LTE right now at all.

Why mention that the iPhone 5s will do 800 LTE when NEWS articles the next day would MOCKINGLY say "Sprint CEO says iPhone 5s will do 800 LTE - TOO BAD IT DOESNT YET EXIST !"

  4. Highly unlikely.  Sprint and SoftBank both are getting A1453 and A1456 for 5S and 5C, respectively.  China Mobile is not officially listed, but it should be getting A1530 and A1529, respectively.

The presumed China Mobile variants do support band 38 TD-LTE 2600, but that is not as all encompassing as band 41 TD-LTE 2600.  And there is no indication that the Sprint variants even contain the RF front end and antenna arrays for any high frequency bands.

How long has China Mobile had td lte? I thought they were in the middle of upgrading.. Is it extensive?

  5. Maybe if enough android phones offload the 1900MHz and 800MHz bands we can have those other bands to ourselves. Doesn't the iPhone support the China Mobile TDD band? Wouldn't support for band 41 be just a software update away?

Sprint has ( and will have ) way more Android phones stuck on 1900 then any other kind of phone. I doubt the offloading will occur anytime soon, but the bright spot is there's some 800 lte to go around

  6. I wanted LTE 2600 as well, but I have a feeling this is a case where in "most" markets some people will have 2600 enabled devices, but will not have 2600 for another year anyways, except in the handful of markets where Clearwire was already rolling out 2600 -- LTE 2600 in other markets is part of NV 2.0 which begin in late 2014.. so it'll be awhile for most.

    To put this into perspective:

Many of us had LTE 1900 Sprint devices with no SPrint LTE as well... huh?  In fact I'm in a 4th round market and I'm waiting just for LTE 1900.

  7. If you like big screens and Android this is a phone that looks very competitive with the Galaxy S4.  Slightly bigger screen, but bigger battery as well. Faster CPU ( 2.26 quad versus 1.9 quad in S4 ), more LTE bands, and from what Ive read a camera ( although same MegaPixel ) with better color accuracy and lighting ( the aperture maybe bigger )..
