Looks like ecsfb is enabled on one of the Waukesha towers on 164 & 59 by Walmart. Have not checked the rest yet.
My N5 has been in and out of LTE the past week in Wuakesha but the past 48 hours it has been consistent.
At Moreland and 164.

First time I've gotten LTE on my phone at my house on 60th and Lloyd. I think the Hawley Rd water tower is broadcasting.

First time I've gotten LTE on the N5 within city limits. Milwaukee is lighting up!

Sitting in my folk's living room in Edgerton picking up 1x800 from tower near Milton. Co Rd M and I 39/90.

Big hidden water tower in Sussex is broadcasting 800 this morning, also one near Goetz's Driving Range... indicated by SignalCheck (it was flipping between those two towers).
Haha I was in Merton when that happened! I was at a client's location and heard SignalCheck go off and was like "what the hell?" Saw the 1x800 and did a couple fist pumps.

Handset: Nexus 5 32GB Black Google Play Store
LTE connectivity: Can't connect unless forced in engineering screen. 3G is strong. (Galaxy Nexus and HTC Evo 4G LTE connect just fine.)
Location: Waukesha, WI 53186 and Milwaukee, WI 53214 (I've only been able to test on purple towers "4G only")

A Nexus 5 purchased from Google Play does not make a difference. The chat with tech support provided just a stock answer to get the user off the chat. This is why I have long said not to bother frontline Sprint employees with these tech questions. They do not have the information you seek. You are just wasting time for everyone involved.
AJ
I guess I should have phoned support instead. First rep transferred me to teir II biz tech support, submitted ticket to engineering, guess we wait. The only reason I do chat first is because they usually direct me in the right direction. I don't expect them to resolve anything.

I just got off chat with Sprint about not connecting to LTE. Looks like it is a known issue with Google Play bought devices
I will keep you guys updated.

We don't have B26 or B41 in my area, just B25. My N5 won't connect to B25 unless I set it under dial code 4636 (phone info) and change it to LTE only. Then I can only get data and no voice.
What's weird is that when I toggle airplane mode, it says LTE for a second, drops, then connects to eHRPD. Sprint says wait til tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath.
For those who have rock-solid LTE, what band are you on?
-
My LTE works when I set it to "LTE only" under Network Mode under the dialer code *#*#4636#*#* (what is the name of this screen anyway?) But of course if I don't have LTE I don't have any service.
When all settings are default and I toggle airplane mode, it connects to LTE for a second, then falls back to 3G. Any ideas? 32GB Black.

I live in Milwaukee (no 800) and can't get it to connect to LTE unless I put "LTE only" in the *#*#4636#*#* screen. This causes problems when roaming between LTE and 3G towers.
There's like 3 different places where you can change LTE settings.
1) Under mobile networks in the settings
2) Dialer code *#*#4636#*#*
3) Dialer code *#*#3282#*#*
So 3G and LTE work for me, but I don't know the ideal settings. What are you guys changing to get LTE to work normally in non-800 markets?

Did they charge an activation fee?
No.
The last time I was charged an activation fee was when I signed a new contract to get the S2.

I'm activated!
I got a SIM from a local corp store. Called (888) 211-4727 to activate. Gave her the IMEI (minus the last digit) and the ICC ID. Up and running in 10 mins.
Let me know if you guys need help.

Just picked up a SIM from a local Corp Sprint Store. Called ahead, gave them the SKU, said it was free.
Stopped in and the guy who I talked to on the phone was "in training" but wanted to help me out. Some neck-beard repair center guy said they would need to activate it on a phone at the store. I told him "I wish I could activate it here, but I have a SERO (employee) account and can only do it through employee sales."
I guess that's all he needed to hear. I got my SIM, and now I'm waiting for the UPS truck. Good luck, all.

I ordered a black 32GB at 6 on Friday night. Got shipping notification this morning at 7, Sunday. Logged into my Sprint account and chatted with support. Pasted the SKU from this thread and got a order confirmation (free) with item number CZ2102LWR.
Thought I would let you guys know. So far, so good.

Im in the exact same boat (my upgrade was Aug 1).
I dont know if I can wait any longer for triband. Things arent looking good for the S4 tri coming out any time soon either
I'm in that boat with you guys. GS2 and all. Bought a Galaxy Nexus off craigslist to get some of that LTE goodness in MKE. I actually bought 2. Looking to sell the other if you're looking.
With CM10 and free hotspot, I can wait out for a good phone for another few months.
I would be willing to wait for the GN5 over the G2 simply because I love stock Android. I can't go back.

There should be a donaters-only forum for complaining about Sprint.
If you want to complain, donate.

I don't know if this has been said but the building that tower is on near hwy 18 and I94 is the regional Sprint headquarters. I used to go there for training.

That's so funny. I was glaring at that exact tower today trying to spot LTE equipment. I thought "nah, they will light up Waukesha last." Guess I was wrong! Too bad it doesn't reach Mooreland Blvd.

I saw another crew working on a tower in the Milwaukee area this morning. I dropped my girlfriend off at work downtown this morning and I was on my way out to Waukesha. The water tower on 84th St. between Bluemound and Hwy 94 had a guy in a cherry picker doing something with the panels that are strapped onto the tower. I'd say it's pretty safe to assume it's for Sprint. I pulled over to snap a couple quick pictures, but I couldn't stick around since I had to get to work. And yes, these pictures are pretty terrible, but I was rushed. I think in this first pic, you can see RRU's at the top, but I'm not certain. I'll probably take a drive past there after work to check it out since I have to go pick up the girlfriend from downtown anyways.
Thank you! This is one of the 4 towers that surrounds my house. This is very good news. If I get a chance, I will take some shots with my girlfriend's paparazzi camera.
BTW, this is tower -redaced- just off Hawley Rd. If we get some seasoned vets to confirm some high rez shots can we consider this site "In Progress?"
EDIT: Nevermind, this is some other tower. Got excited there. Wauwatosa must have a lot of red tape at the local govt level.

Nexus 5 user in Wauwatosa here. Since I got the "Your new network is ready" email today, I'm curious if Sprint's work in the greater Milwaukee area is nearing completion. Thoughts? Opinions?
