The top of Mack Road. It used to say Clear B41. Since I got the Note 7 it just says Sprint. But other areas still show B41.2 or.3.

So I am not sure which tower I am on, but there have been an improvement recently. I used to max out @ 30ish mbps in my bed. I just did a speed test and pulled an 82! I am over in the Cincinnati Financial area.

GMOs cannot do a second carrier or 10x10 in Samsung markets. Confirmed by a Samsung engineer.

 

Please show these to your engineer and ask him how.

If I'm not mistaken, a GMO site has updated base stations and the RRU mounted next to the base station, rather than up near the antenna panel. If so, as long as the panel has 2T2R ports for 1.9, and the proper card is in the BTS, it should support 10x10 LTE.

It does support it, not should.

I beg to differ, we have a gmo in the Cincinnati market that definitely is broadcasting 10x10

I'm connected to my local site with B25, the site also has B26. I use the note feature. Under more available signals a site with the name note pops up but with a weaker signal than the B25, could that be B41? or is it B25 from another sector so its weaker.

 

You would be correct. You are connected pci 339 and in the notes below it is seeing pci 170. So yes it's different sectors.

The tower by 275 by Mercy has all 3 carriers. Most of Fairfield though is clear b41. Beckett Ridge is Clear Also. The tower by Kroger at Liberty Fairfield and rt 4 also has all 3 carriers.

Just pre ordered the Note 7. Now I will be on a hunt for 2x and 3x CA. Any one know where to look in the Cincy market for 3x CA? Coming from a Note 4 with no CA I am in the dark as to what parts of town are live with 2x and I can only hope that 3x is a priority around here.

I have to say that I happy that around a Sprint forum these days we are complaining about 4 Mbps. It wasn't that long ago we were complaining about 50kbps being commonplace.

 

I encounter a lot of sub 4Mbps speeds on Tmo, VZW and AT&T. So this does not bother me much at all.

 

Not to say that I don't agree with you, though. I notice a lot of Clearwire sites are considerably slower than their Sprint B41 counterparts.

 

Using Tapatalk on Note 8.0

The thing that gets me here, in places where clear is, it makes the network look bad. You got 10x10 where all these clear sites are, also it's dense enough that clear doesn't need to be there. That's my only complaint.

No one is talking because the network has gotten that good. Same goes for most market threads.

Depends on where you are in the market, but in general, it is better than old sprint

I do want to update everyone, right at this moment in time, I am homeless. But the kids are taken care of thanks to you all. So it's just a catching up game now that I couldn't begin to do without your help. A very personal thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mike, i just had a thought i figured i would throw at you. I use nova launcher and it has a feature built in where you can tap to lock your non lg phone. But to be able to use it you have to be rooted or give nova launcher administrative privileges. Now to my idea, is there a way that you could make scp reset connections using this administrative privileges for us non rooted folks? Again, just an idea.

I have Tmobile and have never seen it acknowledge band 2 LTE. It always says band 4. Is there a workaround for this? Other than that it seems to identify bands properly. Thanks

Band 2 available in your area? When i had tmo, it identified it no problem.
