  1. Question about " forcing" lte. I got my msl and enabled band 41. I have my preferred network sy to cDmA/lte. Getting a lot of missed incoming calls, but I'm rarely if ever on lte as it seems to be popping up everywhere I don't go. In fact im usually on a Wi-Fi portable hotspot. Am I " forcing" and can this be the cause of my missed calls?

BTW, I know I missed a call when I'm looking right at the phone and a voicemail appears even though it never rang

I think you need to have it set to cdma evdo/lte. I set mine to lte/cdma and couldn't receive calls either. But set to the other and I connect to lte and get calls.
  2. Hello, new to the forum, but I wanted to post that I use an lg g2, and I've been getting what I believe to be sprint spark here in Hamilton, Ohio. My G2 shows both LTE and the Spark symbol on the top part of the screen. I've been getting it near the Joyce Park area between Pleasant Ave. and Laurel. Ave.

Anyone else report on this area being active for Sprint spark?

That is normal for the spark enabled phones to show that even if not connected to spark per say. I do not believe there is spark yet up and running the way it should be in our area. You can force it,but then you won't be able to receive calls and text.
  3. Just stopped by site co03dc099 on main street in Middletown. Antenna and cabinets be here forever but nice suprise today as backhaul is finally hooked up. Maybe see some lte soon from this site.

It's site CI03DC099 at 2804 main street Middletown. Not what I had up there. Funny thing is the box for the fiber sat at&t on it. Maybe that's why it took almost a year for backhaul to this site.

  4. Yes, Gary, I am. I'm also considering a road trip from Columbus this weekend to Cincy and would be happy to meet to "re-educate" you about the features of your phone.

I'm sorry, not trying to be mean but if I could like this post a hundred times, I would. You sir, just made my day.

  5. it connects for a second Then switches back to 3g..in other states its been fine. I'll be up in Columbus later this week so I can let sensorly run I chalked it up to the towers not supporting csfb Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

That's interesting. Wonder if your sim is not right. Might take it back to Sprint to get out checked.
  6. work in Fairfield and live in the west side so last tower would be Hamilton Ave exit on 275. never switched over... the one on Colerain hasn't been accepted yet that one I can force for band 41 only... else I only get "3g" more like 1x

    You can't stay on lte?
  7. have you connected for extended periods with lte on your triband phone? mine won't stay connected in Fairfield.. that's as far east as I go. also no go on Hamilton Ave by 275 and Ronald Regan.. for the non csfb compatible 4g towers your phone will not stay connected

Everywhere I have been minus Hamilton I connect just fine. I am on lte right now here in Trenton as we speak. Been to Dayton Columbus and have connected while on 75 going to Cincinnati, no problem.
  8. yes it will periodically connect to lte and when it doesn't get the CSFB compatibility signal it disconnects. You can force LTE only and it will stay connected but calls will not go through. I changed mine to cdma only seemed to help with battery drain because of the constant brief switching. also because this is a Samsung market they won't switch CSFB on until majority of the towers have been upgraded.

Depends on where your at. I have no problems with eCSFB on my tri band phone. Now I haven't been to Hamilton since they fired up lte so I can't say for sure if it is on there. But if you can connect to lte and you are on tri band phone then eCSFB is working like it should.

  9. OK so I downloaded the xshortcut program and set it up, it seems to work fine but I do not know which of the prls to try on the xda site, I've searched extensively and I see the list of fifteen or so prls but I can't for the life of me figure out which does what, any idea which I should try our how I go about finding out which one does what, thanks for your help this is driving me crazy
