My speeds have gone from 20+ to 2mbps with good signal in the past month. I managed 6mbps on a Sunday in the Vista but that was it...

 

I'll be calling CTMS tomorrow hopefully and getting some information. LTE with 1bar (-110-115 dbm) is aweful and usually not stable enough to stream audio.

I know the LTE is not on at the site on the VA building on Assembly yet. But they did turn it on the Claire Towers Site that covers in to the vista.

I work in the Suggs & Kelly building on the corner of Taylor and Huger. Notice my signal bar? That happens all throughout the day. Also I live around the Harbison Piney Grove area and when they first flipped the switch on LTE I was getting one bar at home but still 15+Mbps. Now strangely enough I am getting three to four bars and I average around 3 Mbps down. I can't buy that the towers are overloaded already with all the new technology they switched out. I've used all of the other big three and they all get 4 times as fast LTE as Sprint is doing now for some reason. How come they aren't over loaded?

Yes. Where I have been getting solid 4g, only 3g on and off.

I hope something good is fixing to happen. LTE speed around most of Columbia is 1/4 the speed of the others.

Yeah I read that and understand. Those rules don't appear to have been updated since three and a half years ago when the entire network was bad. What I meant was now for investigative purposes, on an updated LTE network. Not to bash Sprint of course . I know you guys don't know what's going on across the network at all times but you for sure know more than enough to maybe give an encouraging remark.

We know that the old sites are slow. We know that in process sites can be slow. Why would you post it? That is just "dog bites man". Big deal.

 

We want to know when it is getting better. That is what this site is about. We don't come on here to find a better carrier or read about how awful sprint has been. We know that already. We want to track the progress ... trying to anticipate when "my" location will have great service.

My comment was mistaken. If I would post something like that it would be from a strong LTE connection to try to diagnose what's going on. And I thought it was kinda weird to point that out in the middle of people bitching about their billing.

I've used all four carriers within the last 6 months and I have to say sprint is half as fast as the other three on average. I'm not complaining because I love the framily pricing and the coverage blows T-Mobile out of the water. Especially inside.... I wonder if Columbia is over loaded all ready?

Be nice to a rep ive helped many people get from 2-3 to 7 just by keeping their ID and get younger random people to join an existing framily.

My rep was REALLY nice to me.

Can somebody pm me or point me in the right direction of the place to join someone's framily here? This community is awesome and I would prefer to do this here rather than Reddit. Our first baby is on the way time to trim the budget.

If any of you guys are going to do this I wouldn't mind hopping on a group of at least 7. That way I can get a Sim card and put it in my Nexus 5 and try out the network for a few months.

If this kind of question is more suited for xda than here I understand. I noticed on the new unlimited my way plans that streaming video will probably be throttled. Since this is a nexus is there some kind of workaround to this? 

Any suggestions for radio and network settings for a guy in a no 4g area? Should I leave it on cdma/4g so I can use ehrpd or is it even worth it? 

For what its worth they were supposed to send me an Airave 2.5 but they are back ordered. Maybe a new model is imminent. 

So I just got Sprint service here in Columbia SC. By looking on the coverage map on sprints website I should have outstanding service where I live but unfortunately I do not. I cannot even complete a phone call. I bought the Signal check Pro app and noticed that almost immediately after leaving my neighborhood I switch to another tower and my service goes back to what I would consider acceptable. Then when I pull in I switch back to the other tower it goes to crap again. Knowing the location of the tower that I am currently on is there anyway to check that particular site and be able to tell if there is a problem that may be resolved in the future? I am within the 14 day return period but if I know the tower is being worked on or is just temporarily jacked up, I will rest a little easier about my decision. Thanks!
