Anyone else having issues staying connected to LTE from the Industrial Drive and Briggs Hill towers? Pretty much for the past week or so, it won't stay connected and 3G is back to being basically useless.
Bowling Green, is the location.
Doesn't directly answer your question, but I've been having the same issues in the Lexington Market.

Third Party Employee 3000 or something similar. I tried adding it before and was told it was $5. Stopped caring at that point, didn't want to press the issue.
I had it added to my 3rd party plan for free. Might want to give care a call again.

Btw, any new rumors on the Sprint update? It's early 2014 and if I don't get the update in about 5 minutes, I'm gonna start screaming...
I talked to one of the LG training guys and he said that LG has had the update ready to go for awhile now, but Sprint didn't want to push a bit update out in December (probably due to the increased call volume/store traffic that December brings.)

Anyone played with Direct Connect on it yet? I just added it but don't know anyone with DC.

I am working on a DIY cellular add-on to a remote car starter (using the remote starter's AUX port connected via Arduino to my phone's headphone jack), and the idea was to have Tasker running on my old Sprint HTC Hero that would trigger the starter when it got a text message from me with a certain keyword.
The question is: what is the cheapest way to get my Sprint Hero to receive texts? I don't care about minutes or data, and I'd be looking at a max of 50 or so texts a month. Before anyone suggests FreedomPop, they don't support the Hero yet.
May want to look into I-Wireless. www.krogeriwireless.com
$10 a month will get you 100 texts.

So 9 months or so ago on a lark I bought 3 contracts of Call options at $10 strike, Closing Jan 18th.
I really just expected to let them expire, but now it looks like I may get to make some money off them. What a nice surprise.

Flash was a no go for me. Doing some research and it looks like 2 files didn't get commited in time to make this nightly. Looks like the next nightly should be good to go.

Downloading now, and getting ready to flash.
Wish me luck.

What is the general vicinity of the new tower? Was in Richmond today but I didn't see anything.
In the storage complex behind Casa Fiesta and Waffle House.
With all the development at Richmond Centre, Sprint greatly needs to improve their coverage on that side of town.

Looks like Sprint is raising more money. Hopefully we will see some increased rollout speed on all fronts with this.

Looks like a new monopole might be going up in Richmond. Wonder if Sprint will be on it.

We still sits and we still waits for the Android 4.4 Kit Kat Update...No word still as of yet....
My contact at LG has said the software update for Spark will come in January. I think it's a somewhat safe assumption to guess that it will be 4.4 as well. (Or at least no sooner than January.)

That would make sense but what about Erricson, I look at Birmingham on the sponsor map everytime you post an update and they don't seem to be in clusters, whenever they upgrade a tower to 4G a few weeks later is 4G/3G, grouping seems to have no bearing. I haven't paid attention to other markets but Memphis seems to be the same way.
Sites can be accepted in any order. But when they are brought online they have to be done in clusters. Just because it's accepted doesn't mean it's transmitting on the NV hardware.
-
Any body k ow if they will upgrade the sprint towers so that triband phones can receive LTE not just 3g. My nexus 5 is stuck in 3g and I can put the phone in LTE only mode but can't make calles nor text.
Not to sound condescending, but have you read any of this thread?

Thanks. If you can get any error messages or logcat output to me, I can see if there's a way around it.. unless LG completely removed the screen, it's probably just a matter of permissions or creatively accessing it. Worth a try, at least.
-Mike
Don't have time for a logcat right now, but here is the message is gives.

Does the "Radio Info" menu option in SignalCheck Pro work? It's the same screen, but perhaps the app access it in a different enough way to get past the security block?
-Mike
Does not work.

LG G2, Louisville and Shepherdsville, Kentucky, works as good as my S3. Had issues at first but changed from global to cdma/lte and started working normal. I even have b26 enabled and set to higher priority. No problems with calling or texting while on lte. Seems to be good. Very few 3g acceptances here so legacy Ericsson must be compatible with NV Ericsson.

Oppisite side of the state isn't so lucky.
So my market is supposedly incumbent (Eastern Kentucky, specifically Lexington), yet is seems that the only sites I can connect to LTE on are both 3G and 4G accepted. If the site is only 4G accepted it does not connect.
Anyone else in a similar boat?

we have a whole thread on this.
Duly noted.

I go to class Tuesday and there's 2 Clearwire upgraded sites in the area so I'll get my MSL by then and check myself.
Don't know if you've seen this yet, but here's an easy way to get your MSL.

Lg G2. Lexington Ky, (launched market) No LTE in most places. Occasionally will stay on LTE be seems to be based on location.
-
Do you think then that they might try and get rid of the legacy equipment quicker in markets where eCSFB is incompatible?
He Said
They will also complete the builds quickly in impacted markets to mitigate impact as much as possible.- 1
