If you have the money you could set up a public safety lte system with Motorola Solutions using the different devices like the lex 700.

Cannot uninstall fun and game app because it is integrated with sprintzone. Why not just separate it?

Glue, duct tape, possibly pine tar or other adhesives.

Could be. But it happened yesterday again the 3g icon was active constantly and there was only one bar. No internet, calls or messaging available until phone reset.

I noticed something strange this week. About five time when I would travel from Greensburg to Pittsburgh in PA, my phone still thinks it is connected to the Greensburg tower(1x 800 and it doesn't travel that far). The only solution is to reset the phone, then it operates normally. The question is; Why wont the phone roam correctly when I travel back to Pittsburgh? What causes a phone to be stuck on a certain tower.

I use Seamonkey because it is like the old Mozilla and I only use IE for websites that do not support it.

Like my mama used to say, "Life is like 800 MHz acceptance reports..."

FYI, SignalCheck might not need mobile location services to work properly -- it varies by device. I changed the warning prompt in the latest version to reflect this. If you prefer to keep your location services disabled, try using the app and see if it works properly. The most common problem is you will not see any 1xRTT data at all, or you may see SID/NID/BID values of -1.
My app doesn't actually do anything with the location, but some ROMs block access to the 1X cellular information if mobile location services are disabled.

OK, yes the screen only shows -1 values and no BID when using signal check on the Torque. I will just end up leaving the location data services on and it works great, and as I don't think it is storing and tracking the device which might drain the battery. Thanks for the reply.

I also just found out changing the SSID on WiFi to include " _nomap" prevents Google from storing your router information. Looks like a neat idea.
-
In the location settings menu for my phone it says "enable wifi and mobile network location". Then it states anonymous location data will be stored by Google. Does this mean they will collect the data and drain the battery? Do any of you guys enable this feature and had any experiences with it and battery?
(Also this is required for the geolocation for signal-check pro)

My phone would not connect to the airave so they sent me a new one. However after awhile it started to occur again, so I called tech support and they told me to put my phone into "Sprint Only" mode for roaming and it seems to be working now. When coming into airave coverage my phone data connection was not switching over and that was the problem. But having to turn the feature on and off is a pain because when I go to school I must roam. Hopefully they are working on this issue.
The fix for now is to put the roaming options into "Sprint Only" and this should help most of you guys.
-
I'm guessing not because their software only supports the IDEN protocol and not CDMA. Also sprint wants to eliminate old towers for good and use fewer NV sites to provide coverage.
-
On my S4 I experience it, I just end the call, and keep trying until it actually goes through. It happens on an airave, as well as out in Town.
Yes, I raised the issue about the airave in another forum but it seems that when coming into range of the airave the phone switches from tower to aiave constantly for about 10 minutes then finally stays connected to aiave. It has only started recently so I think it may be due to NV? I thought the 2.5 has an 800mhz beacon to resolve that issue.

Do you know which version of the airrave you have? Version 1, 2, or 2.5?
I know most of them need to be able to get a GPS fix, so if you put them in a place where they cannot, then you have trouble
What happens if you just shut off the airrave? Do you have any Sprint coverage in the house?
GPS is fine I just plugged it back in today and it seems to be working now. Why I don't know. Why? I don't know.
-
Does the phone work fine when you aren't around your airrave? If so my guess would be the airrave.
Yes, its the airave but I dont know why. It keeps connecting and dropping the signal...
-
Lately my phone or airave have been acting up. The phone keeps switching form tower to airave full bars no bars, this never happened before. I tried resetting the airave but the problem still occurs. NV maybe?
-
Which setting do you guys prefer to use automatic, or Sprint only roaming options?
-
No. Due to the shutdown, we are going back to the "stone age" of wireless. Since no new handsets will be approved, you will have only two choices: a car phone or a bag phone.
AJ
Yea those are pretty cool my mom used to have one. I was thinking more in the way of pagers and payphones.

When will we realize there is no money left! The U.S. is -16 trillion, we might save some money if some people stay home for a week and the government stops wasting money on bullets and citizen surveillance. However we should protest to give the FCC a continuing resolution for funding because that is just outrageous! I think every item for over 1 billion dollars should be voted on separately.

Oh my...
I am sincerely sorry. I will make sure to reevaluate my attitude, and conduct within these yellow walls...
I'm just, exceedingly excited over this newfound haven for Sprint-ers that are insightful, welcoming, and intensly cooperative.
I'll write you an apologetic letter if you like, and i'll even write you out an essay comparing and contrasting telecom subscribers communities... I know a little bit about that.
Verizonites are pompous, arrogant, and just plain aristocratically privileged.
T-Mobile'ers are scrappy, over confident, and...
please hold for part two, I'm about to enter hospital.
This is very strange, don't you know no one talks like that anymore? Are you some kind of trolling smart computer?

Why doesn't this thread have a poll? However, I will be getting the Xbox One because it is "cool" and I hope I can transfer my gamertag to the new Xbox Live system.

Sprint is now offering static ip addresses for devices on the network for 3 dollars now. I think that is pretty interesting.
