    I've heard there was some drama getting CM on the CDMA version. Someone apparently accused Agrabren of stealing their code.

     

    This always confuses me. For free open source development why should it matter who wrote the code? Why should that person be seeking credit anyway?

    I heard about that. This is basically what happened during the Anthrax kernel fiasco. Even if it is open source, there are still rules. I'm glad Agrabren came back to develop for CDMA though and with official CM support, my phone can live a bit longer.

    Just found out today that the HTC EVO 3D is getting official Cyanogenmod support. Developer "Agrabren" commented on XDA that he volunteered to be device maintainer for both the CDMA and GSM versions. This is great news for us EVO 3D owners as we've been waiting for CM support for quite a while.

    A Bit of SoftBank+Sprint Humor

    As folks have been coming up with suggested names for the Sprint subsidiary of SoftBank I immediately came up with simply combining the two names into one... SPrint+softbANK=SPANK.*

     

    Ok, ok, *I* thought it was funny.

     

    Taking that theme a bit farther I felt I should combine the SoftBank and Sprint logos for a combined look...

    Someone else suggested that they need to bring back Mr. Baker (Sprint's "Overcoat Guy") to push the new company, and going with that I thought a proper combination might be Overcoat Guy, Otosan (the SoftBank dog) and the new logo...

    Once I saw that, I suddenly realized it reminded me of an image that stuck in my mind from the announcement presentation live from Tokyo the other morning with Masayoshi Son (SoftBank CEO) and Dan Hesse (Sprint CEO) shaking hands on-stage...

    * As it stands right now it appears the "New Sprint" Holding company will be formed with Sprint as a subsidiary.

    I spent 20 GB on 4G WiMAX in one night. I was trying to drain my battery in order to calibrate it so I used RootMetrics and used the continuous speed test. Otherwise, I use about 3-5 GB normally.

    I want a pony, flat screen, a car, a monkey and.....

     

    Wait, I thought we were posting stuff we want for Christmas lol :D

     

    First things first, Sprint.

     

    Accelerate NV deployments

     

    Bring back Premier Rewards

     

    If possible, speed up testing updates for devices (especially for Nexus devices)

     

    Stricter quality control regulations (see EVO 4G LTE)

     

    That's all I want.

    I think sprint should go with network vision and not complicating it by buying another company when sprint is already cash scrapped.

    Sprint could wait till the merger is finalized because by that time, the hardest part of network vision will be over and they'll be in a better financial state (I think). They might be able to purchase both of them.
