Got a firmware update for my SG4 today. .....not sure what it was about ,maybe bug fix.

I'm here in St.Croix with my galaxy 4 waiting for backhaul.

Robert, do you know if the back haul for St.Croix vi is available and just need to be hooked up or is sprint waiting for it to becomr available. Thanks.

They are still working on it. If it is capacity related, they'll add more EVDO carriers. If it is backhaul, then when they get that work completed the speeds will increase. Either way, the end is nigh.

Wish I could get some info on what's going on in St.Croix with the 3G.Is it backhaul or the equipment not fully install. I've see work going on a couple of weeks ago and increase speed at times but not consistent. Mostly in the day its less than 100 kbps.

Speed in St.Croix varies a lot .Sometimes you get as much as 1800 kbps and other times you can't even get 100kbps

Robert, do you know if sights were accepted on St.Croix VI.

Even though 7 of the 8 St. Thomas sites have been accepted for 3G upgrades, does not mean that new backhaul is live at all of them. So performance may vary wildly at first.

LOL, You almost made me choke on my drink what you said 18mbps. I told myself that has got to be a typo, hell I even stared at it for a while looking the decimal between the 1 and the 8. So how are your speeds during the daytime and if you visit a site again, is there anyway you can take a pic and post it?

I'll check again tomorrow. Sorry for the typo!

 

 

Thanks for the update. These sites are still In Progress and not accepted yet. So they probably will not perform better yet.

That's my bad....I wanted to say1.8 mbps. I got that both day and night at the south east tower

They have been doing some work for sure on St. Croix. There was a partial outage last week and sprint customer service told me it was noted that upgrades were in progress. After the outage we are experiancing a much stronger signal! I have service in places I didnt before. Just waiting for that 4G symbol to lite up now and I'll be happy! I can finally shut those AT&T people up! :-)

I've visited all the site in St.Croix but only the one in welcome seems to be performin better than before.I did a speed test and got as much as 18 mbps . Every where else was just what we had before

 

 

As far as I know, there are no GMO sites in PR/VI. None appear on our GMO maps.

The St. Croix sites are ready for 3G inspection. The St. Thomas sites were in the dispatch report yesterday, so they have either started or will be very soon. Oddly, the sole St. John site wasn't included in either batch. It may actually be a part of one or the other. Or may be last on its own.

Robert,do you know if they are using GMO in St.Croix or are they installing thr radio up top. I've try to get close to a couple of sites but its hard to see whats taking place. These sights are on top of mountains

Just look at the sprint map and see 5 data speed upgrade for St.Croix vi. Will be checking if any increase in data speed in various places today.

Things seems to be going very well in P.R. Not hearing much complaints or need for info. On the others hand not hearing from the VI, that mean nothing's happening.....yet?

I've heard they are starting work in St. Thomas. I've asked for more info to create an In Progress list. I don't make requests of sources often.

I heard from a source that they are working on LTE on Vieques and Culebra, and then should start over in the USVI soon after.

Someone mentioned earlier about seeing 2 upgrades completed here on St Thomas. Im showing 0. Any thoughts?

 

At first I saw 1 voice upgrade then 1 data but now they are both gone. Hope a new update would look better than the last one.

Check this morning and even the voice upgrade for St.Thomas was gone from the Sprint map.

 

 

Upload it to any 3rd party site and post the link, or use the picture embed feature and enter the URL. And I just checked again and still only see 1 Voice Upgrade for St. Thomas.

Robert I hard reset my galaxy tab after taking the screen shot and can't seem to find it. It's so funny that now I really need it it can't be found.I am only seeing 1 voice upgrade now but when I took the shot it not only say 2 upgrade it also showed 2 towers on the map. Maybe was a glitch but I was trying to post it then. Gone now but was it there.
