  1. I haven't confirmed that this is necessary but... Under LTE(edit) settings in DATA(##3282#) menu I have LTE, B26, B41 enabled & Band Priorities are B25=1,B26=0,B41=1.  Under LTE(view) settings you get these priorities B25=1, B26=3, B41=2.  I did perform a PRL update around the time that I started picking up Band41 much easier.  As Robert pointed out, incoming calls don't go through when on Band 41 LTE(until CSFB is upgraded).

good thinking.  For some reason ##3282# is not working on my Nexus 5.  Other thoughts?

**EDIT** Nevermind, I found it.  It's *#*#3282#*#* on the N5 if anyone cares.

  2. North of 160th and just east of Highway 85. If the trend holds, though, I would expect the NV hardware to be installed and then you'll have to wait for LTE to be activated for sometime. There are A LOT of towers with the hardware installed all over the metro area, yet very few are accepted and live. But when it happens, it's going to happen FAST!

yeah, I saw some guys there the other day.  Brighton actually has pretty decent coverage east of about 6th, this would make the west side of town so much better.

  3. I don't think we're supposed to post specific towers that went live in this this thread, but I will say that those with sponsorship status know which tower in Golden was accepted with LTE in the last report. I saw work being done on a tower in Brighton earlier today. Things are certainly moving along and once they get the backhaul figured out, we're going to be lit up like a Christmas tree!

what tower in Brighton if I may ask?

  4. it is not reasonable to expect anyone to find an answer in a topic with 805 posts. of course 4g in denver is broad and watching it grow is the point. if it is not possible for a lead to switch a post to an appropriate forum then it would be better post a link to the answer. ignoring is more productive than sniping

it is definitely reasonable to expect that someone who has been posting in that forum multiple times a week basically since the thread was started wouldn't have to ask questions in regards to topics that are actively being discussed.

Again, I have not seen you in this particular forum so I'm giving you the benefit of not having been exposed to her/him before, but spend five minutes and look at the individuals history before deciding that the rest of us are unreasonable.  I assure you, she/he has been as actively involved in this thread as anyone else has from day one and has had every bit of information available to him that the rest of us do.  She/he insists on asking what essentially amounts to the exact same question every week.

  5. all non praise is labeled complaining and endures light flaming its is best ignored

so since I haven't seen you in this particular forum before, I will assume that you have not seen the numerous posts that this individual has made asking the same things over, and over, and over.

To their credit, the inquiries have been less repetitive over the last 4 weeks or so, but what we have here is the classic Boy who cried wolf scenario.

  6. This sounds like some sort of an urban legend type thing.

First of all, in order to have *two* towers, this guy would have to have a lot of land. If he did knock them down, it would most certainly have made the news.

Second, there's no way it would affect the rest of the NV upgrade plans, let alone as far away as Grand Junction. If it was a microwave chain, it could affect a couple of sites, but not more than a couple given the terrain.

Personally I REALLY hope this is true.  I realize it would suck for a lot of Sprint customers, but let's be real honest about this, how awesome would that be?  I'm going to start asking all the farmers around me with towers on their land if they are getting late payments from the provider and if, by some act of the immaculate, they would let me knock those towers over with a tractor.

This story has given hope to all grown men hoping to appease their inner adolescent.

  7. I'm sure you've seen this: http://s4gru.com/index.php?/blog/1/entry-351-teaser-is-the-lg-d820-the-nexus-5/

I was in the Note 3 boat, but no tri-band=no sale. Not sure what I'm looking at now. I'm eligible in April. The Megalith is probably too big, but it is a possibility I suppose, as is the Nexus 5 if it truly is tri-band.

I had seen that and guess just missed the band 41 at the bottom.

If this is the Nexus 5 and pricing is at all similar to Nexus 4 pricing, I am upgrading my phone early.  I will sell my current Optimus G and just upgrade off contract.  Of course, it it's priced more similarly to the Moto X then there is no chance I will upgrade for some time yet.

  8. Hi everyone, I'm new to this site so forgive me if I ask a silly question...does anyone think its a bad idea to port from at&t to Sprint? I'm thinking about getting the 5S on Friday, and I keep reading that its missing band 41 of LTE. Is that a cause for concern? I really enjoy my LTE with at&t, but I would like unlimited data with Sprint. Does anyone know how Sprints network is in the 80016 zip code of Aurora not too far from Southlands mall? I live close to where Gun Club and Aurora Parkway meet.

I just moved north from the 80015 area code.  Voice coverage is great, but don't expect great things as far as data coverage goes.  3g speeds rarely get to 1 Mbps, 4G in my experience has been non-existent.  While I don't live down there, I still visit folks down there fairly regularly.  I would say that I get as many hits as most people in this forum, with a few hits of 4G that nobody else seems to be getting, and I have never even had a slight flicker of 4G in that area of town.

If it's network speeds you are concerned about, Spring may not be your best option for a while yet.

  9. Will sprint lte go up ? I went to Castle Rock and lte was nice but bit slow. I was expecting 30 mb but only got 4 mbs sometimes it wen up to 10 mbs

what kind of signal are you getting?  I get a decent signal at my house and consistently it's between 7.5-15 mb, but typically sits right at 10.  My signal strength is usually around -100 dBm.  This is with the exact same phone as you have.  I will also say that I have noticed that the speeds definitely fluctuate.  I have seen slower speeds than what I am used to with a better signal, so there may be some question as to the quality of the signal as well affecting your speeds.

  10. Ok all you guys need to be nicer people i dont understand why u make fun of me im trying to learn about the network vision ok so stop saying im a troll and all that other crap about me if u dont mind thanks.

The problem is I don't think you are trying to learn as much as you are hoping someone will give you answers, and to date I have not seen you contribute to the community.  If you have posted pictures, or speed tests or something, I certainly have not seen it.

  11. xiutehcuhtli: Are you still picking up LTE downtown?  I have been trying to pick it up and have yet to and I pass by 17th and Broadway frequently (as in every day twice a day).  How many floors up are you when you pick it up and how strong is the signal when you do get it?

I can get it in one corner of my building and think I can see the tower way in the distance from the window.  I'm 18 floors up, but if I stand in that corner I know I will get 4G.  I do it almost every day.  I have started leaving my phone over there and tethering my tablet it is that reliable for me.

Interestingly, I can't get on the 16th floor or 20th in the exact same spot, the signal seems to hit JUST 17-19.

  12. Here's an odd one. I'm running the test PRL 34010 (scans 800 test sites). Today I'm in Boulder County in my usual total dead zone where it constantly scans between 3 towers. SignalCheck Pro gives me an 1x800 alert. I look at the app and it claims I am connected to an 1x800 tower in Keenesburg. After about 5 seconds it goes back to a local tower. I did the math, that's 34 miles away. WTF?  If the new 1x800 towers get that kind of coverage I can hardly wait until they fire up something a bit closer.

Wow, that's a seriously impressive reach.  That could explain my hits downtown quite easily.

  13. Took a drive up I-25 from north Denver to Longmont, then over to Estes Park. Got ZERO LTE, even abeam the tower at Dacono. Cycled airplane mode multiple times, rebooted. Nada. Yes, I am set to CDMA/LTE network in the settings. Kinda surprised at that result. Anyone else tried in the area lately?

Funny you should mention it. Just drove it yesterday on my way home from Utah and did not get a single hit anywhere along 25 heading into Denver.
