Explain this, I've had my GS3 for 3 weeks now and it usually only lasts around 8 hours if i don't use it much and if I'm real lucky. So today for no apparent reason I have used it a lot more than normal and 12 and a half hours later it is only down to 38%. What's up with that??

I assumed he meant powered off as in screen isn't on and phone is sleeping. I don't know many people who actually power off the phone to zero.
Powered to zero. I was trying it to see what would happen, and last night I charged it all the way up shut it off and pulled the battery and this morning when I put it all back together and started it up the battery was still at 100%, go figure.Sounds to me like he is having battery issues even when the phone is powered off, if that's the case then he may have a bad battery. Go to a sprint store and have them test your battery.
I did take it to the sprint store but was told the reason it uses that much battery when the phone is off is because it isn't really off. You can't use it but big brother can!

I am, but it shouldn't make that big of a difference should it? Also what about losing 60% of my battery in 6 hours with the phone shut off?maybe you are syncing in the background? such as facebook, email, other apps?

Not very much and even if I go into the application manager and turn off everything I feel like I dare it doesn't seem to make a difference. You might have a rogue app constantly using data or something like that. How often do you use the phone?

Hey guys my GS3 only gets about 8 hours until I have to plug it in again. The other day I charged it all the way up, shut it off and unplugged it for the night, about 6 hours, when I started it up the next morning it only had 40% left on it after it had been off all night. I have only had the phone for about 3 weeks, what is wrong with it?

Finally rocking the GSIII, it took about an hour to get it done because of the way they did it since I wasn't eligible for an upgrade till June. Like it so far except for the nasty ringtones, I really like the classic single tone ringers, anyone know how to take care of that problem?

The pictures I took are of a tower north of US 20 about a 1/2 mile, just east of SR 19.Is that towered located near US 20 and US 33? judging from the speed tests I took i figued the tower was near the middle of that X. I was getting 15mbps waiting to turn on to US 20. while as i moved away from there it dropped to 5-8mbps and finally down to about 1.8 before I lost it.

Lol, ya, I find my self looking at every tower I go past anymore in hopes of getting a glimpse of some work being done! And my wife thinks I'm totally nuts! Most of my buddies have verizon also, and they just think they're all that!

I know, its exciting!!! Isn't it kinda weird to be so excited about something like this?Looks like it man just can't wait til they move east or south from Michigan into Ohio..but still great to see and they weren't supposed to start around there til winter

Looks like the tower I saw in Elkhart is broadcasting also, from looking at where all it's been picked up.There's even more now

Do you guys work at the sprint store in Dunlap? I just checked Sensorly and it showed a little bit of purple right about where the Sprint store is.I went to download the app and noticed my 4g is gone. Just checked with my coworker that has a Photon Q and both of us no longer have LTE. It was a fun few hours while it lasted.....
