That's the thing...I get a 3G signal around -115db most of the time (have since I switched to Sprint last year) and it will sometimes pick up 4G LTE (on its own or by toggling airplane mode) but the vast majority of the time I still get 3G. It probably has to do something with the fact that my street is in a valley 20-30 ft lower than the rest of the area. The only thing I can think of is that I've been picking up the legacy site at S. Woods Mill & 40. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

So the two closest towers to my home are now broadcasting LTE, yet most of the time I'm still getting the usual weak 3G signal. Occasionally it will flip over to the 4G LTE site at Olive & 40 but it doesn't last long. Is it possible that a legacy tower further away is more powerful? -105 3G signal very close to the site at Baxter & Clarkson in Chesterfield (usually get much better). Also my phone says "Extended" instead of Sprint. I'll drive by after 5pm but won't be able to properly check it out until tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Speaking of Chesterfield, I went by the site on Ladue Bluffs Crossing (the only one nearby that's NOT a rooftop site) and saw 2 guys and a truck parked in front of the tower. It looks like they were just locking up. Also, and more importantly, it looks like panels and RRUs are up! Couldn't tell if the cabinets were there though. I apologize in advance for the poor quality pictures.

Anyone think iOS 7 is worth the upgrade? As of right now I'm running a jailbroken iPhone 5 and pretty much the only benefit to me is the ability to tether for free...but since there's no LTE or any signs of work on it in the area, it's pretty pointless at the moment. Do you mean just for those cities? Or anywhere in MO market so you know who to ask first to check out a site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Unfortunately that would mean standing right outside someone's office window to get the shots...Unless someone else wants to try and get a better view or try from the parking lot with a better camera, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

OK finally got proper pics of 64/40 and Mason. From what I've read in the thread on how to spot Sprint RRUs, these do indeed look like that (two RRUs back-to-back next to the two sectors that I could see...I would guess there's a third antenna on the other side of the building). http://i.imgur.com/ssrGpkJ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WAZ77GK.jpg LTE signal was weak: http://i.imgur.com/oIbVtPJ.png

I don't think anyone yesterday was able to help confirm if these are NV panels at 64/40 and Mason: http://i.imgur.com/GN2Azvm.jpg I can go back today with a proper camera if needed. I have yet to see NV equipment in person since I spend most of my time in Chesterfield...which STILL doesn't seem to have any LTE (except for fleeting glimpses across the river).

There's a bunch of purple on 64/40 between 141 and 270. Is that new? I don't remember seeing it there a few days ago.

I got nothing but 3G at the Legends golf course in Chesterfield. The site off Wildhorse Creek doesn't look to have any work done, unless I just don't know what I'm looking for. Here's pics of the site:

Ok now I'm curious enough to go check it out tomorrow (if I can figure out how to get back there). In case it's somehow NOT Weldon Spring, are there any towers out there I should take a look at?

Apparently it is Weldon Spring. Got LTE there again today and it had the same info in field test mode that I got earlier this week. Physical Cell ID 283 Cell Identity 90230018

There's a bunch of purple showing up today in Chesterfield in the area around Olive / Chesterfield Pkwy / Hwy 40. Could it still just be Weldon Spring? Also just noticed a stray dark purple spot in a field south of Spirit airport.

Yep, that would be the middle (and worst) pic. And I just now realized if you zoom in all the way on that spot in sensorly, it's right over that electric tower.

Still no LTE at Creve Coeur Mill and Olive. There's 3 towers that I could see from that intersection and I have no clue what it should look like so I took pictures of each of them. Creve Coeur Mill & Olive (South side) Creve Coeur Mill & Olive (North side) Fernview & Olive
