  1. Have you tried different servers? Different servers yield different results.

So either I can't remember how to get to LTE Only now or its different on Marshmallow than Lollipop I switched to Marshmallow around the same time as this trip. I am not rooted and don't have my MSL so I didn't need it then.

So slightly off topic but drove out to Hermann just to see if LTE roaming on US Cellular was indeed working... Had to go to LTE only because my phone was still trying to keep a 1x800 connection speed isn't too bad either for roaming and being in a rural area... I have Signal Check on since Washington and went out Hwy 100 to 19 probably going down 19 to 50 then back to Union had a lot of converted towers that I don't have site notes for if anyone wants the log when I get done let me know

  2. Mike, you should check out this post for its SignalCheck Pro screenshot of LTE roaming on USCC. From subsequent LTE engineering screenshots, it is band 12. So, you may have some starting info to get GCI to band detection working on USCC.

  3. My adventure is over i believe I hit 3 unique US Cellular sites two were Band 12 and I was on that first site via all 3 sectors for a long time I did pick up a completely different GCI and I checked and it was Band 5 so I'll post that I guess for the hope that mikejeep can possibly get a pattern to identify... LTE Discovery did not show a band and surprisingly the only indication that I was roaming on the phone was "Extended Area" on the lock screen if you don't notice that or have something like Signal Check you probably wouldn't realize it

  4. You should update your profile to let us know that you now are using an LG G4. If you still were using an LG G3 and had LTE roaming on USCC, that would have been remarkable -- because it would have required band 26 MFBI or illegal band 5.

Also, since SignalCheck Pro does not have USCC GCI to band detection, you should take a screenshot of your LTE engineering screen to check the band, either band 5 or band 12.

My signature says LGLS991 which is the LG G4 I'm using tapatalk so maybe my old phone is also posted on the site that I can't see

Okay I didn't even realize both of those things

  7. Anyone not able to make phone calls this morning? 2 of us are getting "cannot complete your call, try again".

Do you use Google Voice? The voice on the recording sounds like the same voice for the generic Google Voice voice-mail.... I can call out using hangouts and I can call *2 which bypasses Google Voice

  8. Crap I just realized with the mention of site notes that I lost my entire database when my flex died. Had the entire St Louis Market tower entries in the site notes pre loaded for B25 and had a huge dent in loading B26 and B41. When Best Buy Geek Squad approves replacement may have a new phone G3 or Note 4 since the Flex is out of stock for refurb and not sold in the store either.

  9. I would consider the G3. Updated software from the Flex, good camera. Slightly smaller at 5.5 inches, but great screen. I get good battery life as well. The screen does pull a lot of power, but as long as you're not watching videos all day, it'll do fine.

I'm really thinking the G3 ($50 less) or the Note 4 ($50 more) bit I think the LG phones provide better flexibility
  10. So it appears that refurbs for Best Buy for the LG G Flex are on backorder and if they can't get one within 14 days they will usually "junk out" and give me credit for the retail value to get a new phone. So they no longer sell the LG G Flex at the store so I will likely have to get a different phone... I really like the 6" screen but nothing else has that. What is everyone's current opinion for best large screen phone. It will probably be a week or two before I can get a phone back.

  11. Anyone having issues today. Since around midnight I keep flipping to EVDO instead of LTE or even eHRPD this has been primarily in North County on the 270 and 70 corridors. I have Band 41 disabled because I found tethering wouldn't work when connected to Band 41. Also I've had issues on two different towers in St Charles County where the Internet was almost nonexistent on 3g and band 25/26 one was tr hughes and cool Springs ind in O'Fallon the other Lake St Louis Blvd and Ronald Reagan in Lake St Louis.

  12. I love this site and try to support by giving knowledge anytime I can since I'm unable to financially. I'm in the middle of a divorce and lost my job of over 7 years so it makes everything rough. I travel around the Missouri market extensively in the St Louis region and even though I'm not premier I access a ton of Band 41 and identify a ton of Band 26 towers and send the info from Signal Check to a market leader from time to time to hopefully confirm the information if it had not already been confirmed since I have no way to verify. That reminds me I need to do that again since it's been a bit. This site is wonderful with information as I write this Signal Check has me on a Band 41 tower with - 95 signal in St Charles MO. Thanks for everyone's hard work and if anyone ever wants to give me a hand or hit me up for information let me know.

Edit: thank you to whoever donated in my behalf to become premier that means a lot!

  13. So Jessmann I took a trip out there today and found your mystery tower. If you go to the sponsor thread and look at the last update by lilg the tower was accepted on that one. However that tower is not broadcasting B25 but is definitely broadcasting B26 as I was parked under it with B26 turned off and phone wouldn't connect to it at all.

So my guess was right for the previously accepted 3G tower is pushing 26 funny no 25
