  1. Since when? I have to drive out to Cleveland this morning so I'll definitely get to enjoy the LTE goodness.

I'm kinda disappointed with areas like Avon. They really need to put another base station on the water tower. Signal is so fucky on LTE in that area.

Came home last night at about 11:00pm.. And was dropping calls like crazy.. Then this morning at 6:15 while driving the same route back to work had lots of LTE love!

  2. And the North Olmsted towers are now LTE Active (NO CSFB Yet), There have also been a bunch of towers activated (With CSFB active) starting at the airport, all the way to just before the Valley View (Constant STRONG CSFB LTE).. Yes, I know there were already some towers along that route active, but never this strong, and never with CSFB..

  3. On center ridge. The tower on Columbia and Center Ridge has LTE, as does the one near Crocker Park. I was at Dollar Bank working on the roof. If you're interested go have a look at the new LTE antennas I installed.

Found my issue.. Was a bug in CM11 last week which appeared to hose the sprint APN information... Had to completely flash back to stock to get CSFB to work again... Once I did that I was able to put the latest nightly of CM11 on and all is hunky dory now.:-)

  4. Works just fine here. I was on LTE the entire time I was working in Westlake.

Hmm.. maybe along the 480 corridor?.. I never hit the Westlake towers...  I haven't been able to use my phone in beachwood area without first manually switching to 3g only since tuesday.. and yesterday it was all over.. seemed like everyplace I was.. even went so far as to delete epst settings, flash back stock rom, and let the phone reactivate itself with no improvement whatsoever.. (you never know when Cyanogen will incorporate a bug in the nightly).  Hopefully it's fixed soon..

  5. Yikes looks like CSFB is turned off in North East Ohio.. Galaxy tab says 4G.. Nexus 5 only connects for a second and then drops to 1x and EVDO.. Not even eHRPD. Has been like this since 2:00 this afternoon and is consistent from Beachwood to North Ridgeville. Numerous reboots and network resets result with the same no LTE issue..

  6. So my ride to work today from North Ridgeville to Beachwood along 480 was weird... Everyplace which hasn't received LTE yet which is usually eHRPD was evdo, or 1x only.. (Except north Olmsted which is still evdo).

I'm thinking perhaps another cluster will be switched on soon?

  7. Sitting in my office in Beachwood I Noticed my N5 displaying LTE.. No cause for alarm as it once and a while picks up a blip of LTE while switching towers.. Never locking on because lack of CSFB. This morning however it didn't go away.. Looking at signal check pro I notice the Provider ID for Sprint Band 41.. Screen shots and speed test.. 17mb down 2-3mb up at -116dBm.. It stays locked on even at -120 dBm. I have LTE band priority set to 41 25 26. And the phone is in normal operating mode.. (LTE is not forced on)

Apparently NetMonitor has no clue what I am connected to.. I have no idea what tower I'm connected to either....

  8. Hmm.. did not connect to Band 41 at all on the way home? I can't explain it.. had it all the way to work, had it none of the way home..

Maybe they were testing this morning?

Well...  I think I found the problem.. took an update today which must have reset the band priority back to stock...  I just changed it back so hopefully the next time I can reconnect to band 41

  9. The next time you connect to band 41, run and plot a few speed tests on Sensorly.  I'd be curious as to what you get since you probably have minimal channel congestion.

  10. Okay so the Center Ridge in North Ridgeville tower is LTE active. Mapped all the way to work in Beachwood.. But I noticed something on my N5 this morning.. A different provider ID.. Still sprint though and different GCI numbers then I am used to seeing.. WOAH! Active Band 41 LTE TDD on all active LTE towers along 480 between North Ridgeville and Beachwood.

  11. How far down center ridge did you go in NR?

Is it possible that the elyria Wal-Mart tower reaches a bit of that?

Confirmed it's the Lorain road tower (across the street from the Drive in) Complete a circle down 83 to Lorain to Barton to Center Ridge and back 2 83..  NO CSFB, so N5 wouldn't connect and it was being funky and would not let me to switch to LTE only..  If you follow Lorain on Sensorly zoomed in, you will see a few circles here and there where I reset connection and got lte for a second.  Galaxy tab stayed locked to LTE all the way to 1/2 way down Barton, then lost connection and regained it coming back up center ridge..Kept the signal until  just past the Leer set of lights..  Too bad Galaxy tab 3 LTE doesn't work with Sensorly.  Just activated my HTC one and now i'm going for a ride...

  12. I only wish I had a better idea of the locations since I am not that familiar with the west side.  I've found the first sensorly plots seem to trump any subsequent plots-even ones with significantly stronger signal strength, so I've stopped plotting what I call "residual LTE".  Otherwise,   I have to cover the same spot a bunch of times to try to correct the plot when local LTE comes along.

So Driving to my Avon office this morning I picked up LTE all the way down Lear.  Galaxy Tab told me so.. Forced my N5 to LTE and mapped until I lost signal after turning left down schwartz.  The tower appears to be to the East of Lear, perhaps the tower on the golf course between Bradlee and Crocker?

I then turned Left onto Chester, halfway up chester, my Galaxy Tab once again picked LTE and the signal kept getting stronger.  Switched N5 back to LTE/CDMA/GSM/PRL/Auto and it picked up the LTE (CSFB Active) Speedtest  on Sensorly showes 14.66 down and 5.28 up!).  Galaxy tab speedtested the same (at -108dBm).  I can see the Colorado ave tower from my office, so I don't think that is the tower which is list with LTE.. Perhaps the French Creek tower is active?

I"ll try to map some more when I go out to lunch today..

my marks show up on sensorly already.

Verified that the tower in Avon is the French Creek tower.. Mapped completely around it.  Scored a -80 dBm on the bridge on French Creek Road!

Still couldn't determine which tower I was connected to when coming up Lear this morning, it was Not the Bradley/Crocker tower. Took another trip all the way down Detroit, Up Bradley to Center Ridge.. Picked LTE up again on Center Ridge in North Ridgeville.. but it stayed constant down center ridge..  My guess it is coming from one of the towers in the southern part Ridgeville..  It looks like the tower at the Drive-in is active, so that may be it.. somebody mapped a large portion of the turnpike this morning which runs through NR..
