LTE is live at the Sea world Tower from what I can tell, get 5 bars driving by it on the 528 on my way home from work/school. Has put a relief on the OBT/central Fl tower as both now have pretty consistent 60-70ms pings. Did some tests at the SeaWorld tower while driving and the best I got was 5.5/2.9 which is pretty good considering that I was going about 65 and it was like 4:30pm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This was yesterday at the intersection of Dr. Phillips and Wallace road. Upload wasn't great on this test, but on a following test it was in the 1mb-2mb range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Yeah, I work at universal and go to school at west campus and my closest friend lives in DP so I frequent this area a lot. My house is in the south chase wetherbee/orange ave area.

Saw work being down on the Taftvineland/John young pkwy tower today on my way home from school, did not get a picture, but saw a crane and some cables running from the antennas to the ground. Progress.

I did a little research and have found that the G2 and Note 3 use the same snapdragon 800 series processor, but I don't know if that makes a difference in the supported bands or not.

Yep. Dual band in the sense it supports 800 MHz and 1900 MHz but not clearwire's 2.5 GHz spectrum which is LTE band 41. I wonder what the possibility of adding it later would be?

When I went to get my sisters iPhone at my local sprint store, (it's a corporate store, if that matters) i realized that they had LTE there now and the guy there said that they had jist turned on the tower nearby and they are hoping to be done (launched) by the end of October , which isn't too far fetched imo.

Here's hoping that the new iPhone being announced today will support the 800 MHz and 2.5 GHz LTE bands as well as TD-LTE.

I know what you mean, I go to West Campus as well. At least the 3G there is good and the wifi is good as well. It'd be weird if you were in one of my classes and we didn't know it. Lol. I did a speed test at the corner of LB mc(something) and kirkman and got this:

It's not THAT bad. Just avoid some parts of it at night. Anything north past sandlake is pretty bad. Everything south of it isn't so bad, unless you count the car maniacs who come from the races at like 2 in the morning. I live right off of OBT on Wetherbee and I hardly see any hookers.

Wow. The tower on OBT by central Florida must be getting super hammered because now during the day there is no data whatsoever. The only time I've managed to get a speed test is at like 3 in the morning and the ping was over 100ms unlike before when it was under 50. -sigh- the only LTE I get and I can't even use it.

I was driving home from work on the 528 and I saw this crane and guys working on the tower behind Aquatica. Hard to see from the picture because of the angle I took it at but pretty sure it's a sprint tower so I'm hoping this means LTE in the SeaWorld area soon!

Got 37 ms ping on LTE on the tower on obt and central Florida and only had 3 bars when I did the test. Did it again when I had 5 bars and got 44 ms ping. Got home and was on 3G, did a test, with only 2 bars I had 72 ms ping. I'm liking it!

New tower went up on sensorly, OBT and central Florida pkwy. And the turn pike as LTE now as well, so I'm getting like a bar of LTE randomly in my house now off of wetherbee. Can't wait. And if Orlando is announced Monday, that would be awesome but I don't know if they would just randomly turn that many cell sites on at one time?

I was in the back though because I work there. Wardrobe is behind Mummy. Even though I had LTE, there was no data connection. I also picked that LTE up at the intersection of kirkman and I drive, so that tower as some serious coverage. Lol

The other day I was at my friends house in Dr. Phillips off of Wallace road and I had 1 bar of LTE for like a minute but the speed was very slow, then it switched back to 3G and I had a 1.5mbps Dl speed. Progress!

I just got LTE behind Jurrasic Park river adventure at IOA for like a split second.(I was on the shuttle leaving toon lagoon where I didn't have LTE). I was reading a text message and looked up and saw it but by the time I went to take a screenshot, it switched back to 3G. ill keep checking as I work here almost everyday.

Well then yes, it does indeed show the data strength unlike android devices. And I just looked at that thread up above to be sure and it says that the iPhone 5 does indeed show the right amount of bars. And I can verify that with speed tests. Whenever I have full Bars, I get EXCELLENT data speeds (3G speeds that is).
