When I was in an LTE area, i was able to get about 30Mbps down/ 8Mbps up
Same here

They seem to have fired up LTE in eastern lake county in Perry Twp. The tower by Rt 20 and Call Rd is active.

well into another month and still just a few small pockets of lte.... does anyone out there have any real idea, other then by the end of the year, northeast Ohio will get lte coverage ?? footnote- my 3g is getting real bad.... no win, won here...
It seems that Cuyahoga and Lake counties are moving real slow. I've actually been seeing improvement at certain sites. I did a speed test the other day and the tower I was connected to showed 1.67 down which is really good for 3G but only .01 up which is really bad. I only ran one test though so that might be an anomoly.

A 1x800 voice carrier would still be a huge increase in service quality up here.
The voice service really is unbelievable and Ashtbula doesnt have a tower on every corner so that just makes it that more impressive.

But no 3G let alone LTE

I was in Ashtabula yesterday and I can tell you that there is 800 1x service there. Full bars everywhere I went and 3 to 4 indoors. The coverage was amazing.

Couldn't they still do 800LTE in the IBEZ and just adjust down any antennas facing north or are we not aloud to have 800 in the zone?
-
For the time being, it probably will. We know that they are deploying 1x on 800 at lower power to help with the transition from legacy Motorola equipment to NV Samsung equipment. But I don't know if they will be able to do the same for LTE. I'm guess not, until they come to an agreement with Canada.
Thank you, I thought that might be the case.

Thank you for the clarification. Either of you have anything on this IBEZ? Does this restrict my area from having LTE 800?
-
Just a quick question regarding 800mhz and IBEZ. I live in NE Ohio and I see that there are quite a few sites being upgraded. Exactly what kind of upgrade has been done when it says 3G/800 and what is the IBEZ and how does that effect the bands that I will be able to receive?
-
Im sorry if this was already discussed but what is the Canadian IBEZ?

Does anyone have any info on permits or actual work being done in the eastern suburbs?
