  1. I checked it, but at -141dbm i know its a very weak signal. Being the closest tower is either Middleton or mount horeb at 10-12 miles away with many large hills in between I cant believe I would be getting anything at all. I get no 3g or 1x from either of those towers.

If I guess correctly, the blsck ea earth signal would be coming from Sauk city. Sauk is currently broadcasting lte according to sensorly
  2. Lots of useful info here...and yes, 4G Sprint service is starting to expand, but dont let this persuade you from making a change to ATT or Verizon.

I recently relocated here from a market that has has 4G service from ALL providers...my personal Sprint phone was still far behind what my Verizon work phone did..and my girlfriends ATT was even better!

Try them all out..they will let you for 30 days...although it is a little time consuming returning to the stores to have your service swapped/exchanged/returned.

Also of note..while I do not like complainers and whiners myself, the recent posts here were NOT out of line at all..come on..it's America..let someone occasionally chime in. What is more annoying is the frequent suggestions and solicitations for donations on this site...those requests have gotten out of hand.

    Please don't hit me.

    Members...

Several of you are not sponsors, so you cannot view the Network Vision sites completed maps.  You really have no solid idea how slowly or quickly Network Vision deployment is progressing in your own market, let alone around the country.

As for discussions of switching to other wireless providers, that is walking a fine line..

In other words, be careful of you're complaints about sprints network on this site. My account on here was suspended without warning for almost two week's for venting my displeasure to my fellow Sprint user's in here.

As far as waiting for 4g is concerned, the area's that I most frequent are covered very nicely. It takes a fraction of a second to load an album on rahpsody. However, im not seeing much improvment

  4. I'm pretty impressed how much a single tower can cover....... (the tower is at the top of this map, essentially, nearer the dark purple)

There's purple covering existing towers that aren't upgraded yet on this map (Sauk @ Gammon and Pleasant View @ Greenway and others), so the coverage should be really great once they actually get them all upgraded. Great work on mapping, guys!

I keep praying that Sprint will beat the start of Badger Football here downtown westside of campus by Camp Randall, but I doubt that'll happen. We really only need a few to get some decent coverage here in Madison.

I doubt one tower is covering all of that. If that were the case I'd be very impressed! !
  5. awesome! I wonder if this it the High St. tower or the Greenway Station tower? Hopefully the later, which would mean two towers with equipment. Head out to the High St. tower and see if the readings are super strong.

I mapped out high street also. I was on 4g roaming. Even when it switched too native 4g coverage and getting zero bars, I was getting 18.00 down! . My trip has already showed up on sensorly.
  6. Ok, so I got some sweet LTE over lunch. This was around Grand Ave. Mall. It didn't stick around though.

The test at the bottom was when I first noticed my phone flip to LTE. The test at the very top was just after it flipped back to 3G. The last 3G test did that weird thing where upload was crazy fast before settling down to a slower speed like I mentioned in a previous post (peaked around 250 KB/s).

Speeds are about what I got on AT&T Faux G a while back, but as we've all discussed plenty, they're doing work so this may not reflect what the speeds will be when it's finished. It's been shown to be faster in other cities. I know it's not the first time it's showed up, but this is easily the fastest it's been since I've noticed it.

As of right now, my phone is on 1xRTT and hasn't changed for the past half hour or so.

Also, a shameless plug for a company I have NO stake in: Spigen. If you have a Galaxy S4 or an iPhone 5, they make some sweet cases. I got the slim armor case for my iPhone and it's really slick! I didn't browse their catalog much, so they may have cases for other popular models.

1x all around west Madison today. Data is virtually useless. The Middleton tower which is supposedly 4g accepted is back to 1x. Sprint is ruining my rhapsody music experience. Times like this I wish I were still on Verizon.
  7. LTE is up and running in Middleton....but nothing on the west side of Madison, downtown, or eastside. Some LTE on the beltline is great because in the afternoon, the signal was horrible. Now, if Sprint can get the other areas up and running, that would be great!

Not sure what your talking about? No lte being broadcasting in Middleton. Just rant lte discovery mode and still showing up as ehrpd.

They must have just turned it on. It wasn't broadcasting as of 730 this morning on my way to work. Can't wait to try it out on my way home.
