Is this a "5G" capable phone, or will 5G phones come out in later times?
-
It would be nice to bring back non curved screens.

Seems like B41^3 is now lighting up in Orange County and parts of the IE such as Corona and Chino Hills.
How are the speeds?

Thank you gents

What screen protectors do you guys use/recommend for the S8 (not plus)? Was looking at many on Amazon, and many reviews stating screen protectors don't cover entire screen, or won't stick to edges causing lifting in cases.

I seen this last night on Sprint Reditt. Are they bringing back the contracts?https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/comments/70a9eo/2_year_subsidy/
-
That makes total since buying it upfront elsewhere, instead of contract. Does it have the smart view feature on it? I couldn't find any info regarding that. The S2 is way too expensive. I like watching movies and vids, so the S2 wouldn't be for me due to that 4:3 ratio aspect, and I screen mirror a lot to. I've read reviews on the S2, and the only negative I've seen is not meant for movie watching, but other than that, it's a beast!

Just read through all the comments. In your honest opinions, is this a really good tablet? I'd use it more for browsing, watching movies/videos, maybe some gaming. Does this tablet have the smart view/screen mirroring feature on it?

So the Note 5 is still beast of all beasts?

Why the curved screens though????

If you think Tampa has alot of band 41 then you clearly have not been to Orlando where they have it on most towers. Hell even going to Tampa on I75 Sprint has a significant amount of 3G coverage and sites that do have LTE only have overloaded b25/26 and the worst part is the staggering amount of shared towers that they are on the bottom of. How is band 41 supposed to work when 50% of the time they choose to be the lowest on the tower?

Same with New Smyrna Beach.

San Diego market sux ass for Sprint. I guess I will be moving too because Unlimited is back.
Totally agree. Very bad in SD. Service at home is almost like it was during the days before LTE. Not only that, many other towns in North County took at big hit going down the drain service wise, and reported many times at these locations (Encinitas, Vista, Oceanside, parts of Carlsbad, and Escondido) via phone call, and Sprint Zone. All I get is techs will go out to look in the area, or they'll say nothing is wrong. It's not the same here. I finally got a $40 credit a couple days ago, after reporting bad service at home getting 1x service, after they found many issues happening in the area, and seen on record I've been calling about this since mid December.

Damn. Thanks for verifying.

Ok. Just to make sure. We have LTE 800 in San Diego in the IBEZ?

Can confirm we do in Encinitas. Just noticed it today, after nearly 2 months of horrible service in the area. I wonder if I'll see this at my house in Oceanside. Service has been horrendous there to.

Or you can get the Mr. Number app in Playstore, which works great detecting, and blocking spam calls.

Any suggestions on where to get a 64GB Note 5? It looks like they're hard to find now. I'm tired of running out of storage space, deleting, uninstalling, etc......

I've been noticing, and had slower services than usual these past 2-3 months at home. Well this morning, I was looking at SCCP, watching service dropping to very slow 3G, 1x only, no service at all, back to 3G, etc. I called Sprint about the matter. Customer service rep gathered all of my info, looked into the system, and told me there wasn't a tower outage or complaint. Weird! I said something is wrong here. She looks again, and found there is an issue. 5 others put in a ticket around the time I called in my area, and seen there is a tower issue, and it's going on day 2. She puts in another ticket for techs to check it out. To my surprise after hanging up, I noticed B41 for the first time ever at home going in and out at -116 dBm to -118 dBm for at least a good 25 seconds or so, then back to no service, then regular 1900 service is back on. I live by a golf course, and there is a GMO site mounted on a light post. The other nearby tower is a flagpole site probably exactly a mile away. Here's my question. Is this a sign of Sprint upgrading B41 in the area? Haven't seen anymore B41 again since early this morning.

Anyone else's GPS acting funny? I usually keep mine on "Wifi and Mobile Networks" setting, unless I'm using Google Maps for driving directions, etc. Today was interesting. For some odd reason, location services kept turning itself on to "GPS, wifi, and mobile networks" many times for a couple hrs, while I kept switching it back.

Anything happening in San Diego???

Anyone having weird battery issues? Just got to work didn't use it on the way in so I was at 100%. Figured I would do a quick cache wipe and went through the whole process. Phone booted up to 80% battery like wtf there is no way for that to be possible.

Yep! Past days I've been having that quick drain again we've discussed on here. I was on mine this morning browsing, and reading some NFL news on way to work on the train for about 15 min, and was down to 83% after a full charge. Did some more news browsing during lunch for about 20 min, and by the time I got home after work, I was down to 15%. What's going on?

On the streaming restrictions, I've noticed a quality reduction on Youtube (480p is the highest available PQ), but Netflix, WatchESPN, FSGo, MLS, NBCSports, etc all are crystal clear.
Besides Youtube, were the others 720p?

That hole punch won't annoy, or bother any of you watching videos/movies, looking at pics, etc., in landscape?
