I just mapped Lte from the 417 at Curry Ford Rd south to the 528, then west on the 528 (Beachline) until about the area of Orange Ave.

FYI-got an Lte signal and mapped along the lakefront in Sanford from French Ave to near the zoo.

Yes, that was one of the roadways I was referencing, and it appeared they were laying east. I am told the tower near Beardall and Celery is used by Sprint. The cable appeared likely to be headed in the direction of the tower and I took that as a good sign. However, I was unable to get close to that facility to confirm.

From what I have been seeing the back haul should be complete, or near completion, from north International Dr all the way to Disney World, up to the Winter Garden and Windermere Areas to 192. Almost every highway in this area is having fiber optic line laid. I have really been amazed by the number of crews and miles of flags and new markers I have seen pop-up. Then I began checking numerous cellsites and noticed evidence of recent fiber cable being laid. Recently, I was in Sanford and Orange City and observed similar work being complete there too. 4 lte has to follow soon!

I haven't been able to find a "thread" for the topic of birds on towers, so I figured I would start one. Since I am new to this forum, and have gleaned a lot of new information about the topic of cellphone service and radio waves, I figured someone out their would have experience with nesting birds on cell towers. Over the past few days, I have gone around to various cell sites that are providing service for me while at work, home, or while driving to and fro. During this survey I noticed that about half of these locations have nests on them, and at least one was confirmed active. I understand the birds (Osprey and Eagles) for example are protected and the nests cannot be disturbed. But what are the guidelines for such a dilemma? Does Sprint for instance, have to wait until the nest is abandoned, bird expires, or are the regulations more concerned with a date range (mating season)? Any information on this topic would be appreciated since at this time, I'm under the assumption these towers cannot be updated anytime soon.

Your not alone when it comes to leaving Sprint. I know of several large local government groups who have also switched, and are in the process of exchanging Sprint air cards and cellphones for another competitor. I hope Sprint see the seriousness of these lost accounts and will rush to improve service. On the other hand, perhaps my quality of service with Sprint will improve with these large user accounts now leaving and taxing the other provider(s) (vzw).

I hope so too, but I just drove thoughout the Disney area and was only able to find 4g in a very limited area. My experience did not reflect the Sensorly map at all. Kinda disappointing!

Take it for what it is worth, but I was told today that Sprint has completed 8% of the 274 towers in the Orlando market for Lte.

Seems a little conservative to me, but I can't argue with the source.

I was speaking to a Sprint representative yesterday who suggested a possible rollout strategy for Lte in the Orlando market. He believed they, Sprint, were going to finish the outer areas of the metro area first with Lte since those areas never had access to Wimax. Looking at the Sensorly maps I think he might be onto something.

Was at a friends house in Windemere yesterday and was complaining about slow 3G speeds when I looked at my phone and saw I had LTE. So if someone wants to map out the area around Reams Rd/535 and that Publix area, I also got it as far as the Walgreens up the road. Mind that it was only 1-2 bars and I did switch to 3G a couple of times but did get a nice 5.77 mbs down but up was 0.13. I will post a picture later. Just thought if give a heads up on here.

I was in that area today and found a tower just off Reams Rd,just east of the cast entrance roadway. It is difficult to view but I believe that is probably your Lte source. Makes sense to me since WDW has been mapped with Lte coverage.

I'm really interested in knowing if the tower off Overstreet Rd is scheduled for Nv.

took this picture this morning on I4 by Par ave it was a stealth tower but now looks like it is getting some external panels. Im glad to see steady progress in the area. It seems like almost every day or so there is a new LTE conversion lighting up. so much so that the sites we see built but not active may be a back haul issue, In my opinion looking at the coverage on Sensorly at a national level is starting to look impressive

Reports indicate that will be a Sprint tower. I hope one of us can confirm soon!

Where abouts in Lake Mary? Over by SCC (which I guess is techincally Sanford) we have LTE. I get it on Country Club as well, and as far as to Rinehart, and even down Rinehart some.

If you ever find yourself on Ronald Reagan, behind the flea market, north to 417 would you mind checking on LTE coverage in the area? Sensorly has no info for that potion of roadway.

Does anyone have any intell on the new tower being built along I-4 between Fairbanks and Princeton St? The tower is located on the east side and must be accessed from either Clay or Wymore? No panels attached just yet and I don't even recall seeing the tower there last week so it must be new.

Monday, March 18, 2013 at 2339hrs, location Sand Lake Rd and Universal Blvd, both an Htc 4G (wimax) cell phone, and a Sprint air card (3G) running at a snails pace. I hope this means the local towers are being updated with N.V.

Have a feeling another tower in Sanford went live. I walked outside and had really good 4G, usually only 1 bar, or 4 bars 3g (depending on tower I connect too) but had full LTE bars and got a 25mbs down speed test. going to try and go to tower site I believe it is and look (by Seminole Courthouse on 17-92 in Sanford)

Are you able to map your Lte experience using Sensorly? Also, I believe the tower located behind the VW lot on 17-92 is utilized by Sprint. Nextel and T-mobile use the other nearby tower located on the north/east side of the Flea Market property. I was hoping Sprint might use that one for Lte service.
